I've had to clear my friends list like 4 times :-o but I always find new people. And still meet new people whenever I go exploring

It hasn't happened yet and maybe it never will, so I hope with all my heart that you do at least come back to check, and find yourself still very much at home. I wouldn't have had the game I have had the last year and more, without those like you that helped make it what it was and still is. Sadly, while Atys itself has changed very little, the voices ingame and on the forum that helped make the game for me, in the first place, grow fewer. But Atys is a living place still, and there are new voices. I look forward to you and others revisiting and seeing some things in a new light. Like perhaps, me still by the stables striving to knit High Quality clothing, but shrivelled, wizened and sitting in a rocking chair! :D

I'm sorry to see this thread and will miss your voice, Thosholm.

It's always sad when people leave, more so when they've been part of the community for so long. I've had the odd bored patch myself, same as with any game. I put this down to the war event creating a lot of uncertainty and leaving me wondering what I did before it. It's also due to the anticipation of things to come, both the ranger event and Chapter 3 - the calm before the storm. Atys and the forums do seem a bit quieter which is partly due to the time of year, but obviously heavily influenced by recent events and their timing with people's subs running out.

I'm not so bored now: I need to level my PR digging ASAP before it becomes hard work, I need to raise my lower HA parts crafting because degrades are getting really annoying, I need to raise my main HA part 25 levels because I'm still not a master crafter after all this time. There are a few melee and heal levels I'd really like to get and there are always guildmates who need to hunt. There are loads of events we've talked about but not had time to organise as well as the regular pub night to meet different people and just spend a few hours chatting IC. I'm not the most well-travelled homin so there's still some exploring to do and the non-story events (gladiator, mektoub race) offer a nice diversion. Then of course there's Episode 2 to mull over and Chapter 3 to prepare for.

And if I still get bored with all that, I play something that isn't an MMO or go down the pub :)

I bet the pub wins most of the time huh? :p

As for the original topic, its getting kind of sad counting all the "old timers" I never had the chance to meet... :(
But as long as there are still nice people playing, and those who I care about, I'm happy :)

Couldn't agree more. Too sad. :(

Only rays of hope I see is that some of them may return one day, or that new friends can fill the void left by their passing.
