I would like to see Pei and Sirgio make a comeback, but only if:
1) They are actually killable (as Aen and Lixie currently are not so they might as well have been removed too).
2) They are not exploitable.
The tribe commander's should provide an adaquate challenge for a med-full size group, much like your 2* Q270 bosses, somewhere along the lines of Kinkoo in regards to difficulty I think would be fair.

i dont want boss armors back because, it makes HA crafters pointless, and the omg player X is camping a boss and player Y is pull stealing treads are just ****, bosses bring more challenges, but they are killed by the same teams every time who just time when they pop....

Hmm..in 8/10 times now this situation occurs with lev 270 "useful" bosses ;p
There r guilds that have timers for their spawns and u must be extremaly lucky to meet the one u desire.
Is this camping? Yes but that's the way Atys is build and we cannot do anything about it and only the only hope is in crazy luck (or mean tactic)

Dosnt it annoy you that the same guilds/teams get all the bosses?
last tme bosses where active people where complaining cos of this, we didnt give them a chance ect
npc bosses being something else to do, but also alot more problems and agruments.

Of course I'm mad about this no doubts..but what can we do? Moaning? Showing immaturity? nope this forums recently accepted Uber bunch of flames and complaints, so for now let only some enthusiasm and optimism flows...

But to boss camping issue: every MMO has it's target group of ppl, SoR is not different and on Aripostle server we have both EU and US players so that's decreases chances of boss meet by 2 (if we EU won't get it the other side of ocean will ;p).
Also big advantage have ppl that don't have a lot of things in RL to care about like :work, famillies , ect..
No matter how hard I try I canno't force my best cannons at Guild to be log at 5am-16pm beacuse ie Madakoo poped ;p
So what reamins? Answer is simply: let this Uber bosses be hunted but may this Uber stuff be avaible to get!
Guilds should stop being like herds of hamsters collecting all that shines for :"possibly further use".......
I dream about Uber-hard to obtain but existing market of legendary items

Get rid of the timers. Make the 'pop' completly Random.
Although, I get the feeling some people are just being elitist....

lets hope global FvF brings some joy about this situation

tho, some may "cheat" and turn off PvP when "going to boss hunt" (i mean those who are PvP by default, not ones who are non-PvP by default).

Get rid of the timers. Make it random. Make the boss's stomping ground full PvP.
Then they'll be no camping as no one will know when it's going to pop (who wants to waste all their time sitting waiting for a boss....?)
Make the boss locations a real trek from Spawns & TP's. This will prevent one player sitting there waiting and calling in his guildies when it does pop.
If two guild groups etc do stumble in on the boss, then they can fight for the right to kill it.

that would be forced PvP.
one way for things to "even out", would be instanced boss encounters (with "downtime" timer per char/guild maybe). but dont think there will be instanced anything in Ryzom anytimesoon.
or "hunting permit" from tribes that live in boss area. w/o it, you cant hunt boss.
one can dream, right ?

Hahaha kye, why should only YOU sit whit all the npc armors, what about those that just started? can they not have a npc boss armor?
Its ok that they stay this hard, its still killable, just need new tactics thats all.
Im sure people won stay and camp Aen/Lixie/Sergio/Pei when the FvF goes for all the world. i know that its supposed to be able to turn on and off pvp but have pvp around the camp?
