Aim stanza's allow you to select where you will hit on a critical strike. Where you hit determines the effect on the mob.

This is a very good skill except it does not increase the odds for a critical strike, thus making it much less useful.

This type of post is probably best posted in the "New" area...

The cost of these stanzas compared to their usefulness or lack of makes its uses very limited overall. I highly doubt many people are using these in PvP except may for the Aim at humanoid head where they know their opponent to be vain and never wear a helmet.

Even then its use is severaly limited due to the high cost. The aim at humanoid head 10 costs 225. The biggest attack I can make without using dodge/critical/parry/feint is 426. To be fair i'll never use feint in PvP either so pretty much dodge/crit/parry offers me 215 more credit. So even aadding the biggest after dodge/parry/crit I cant use the biggest aim option if I'm already using the biggest dam/acc bricks. When you factor in the bricks for ignore/slow/bleed you pretty much have no room.

Basically I think, from a non-melee-head perspective, skip these and work out the "after" credits (attack after parry, attack after critical) as at low levels the amount of credit you have is very low so this is very helpful.
.

The "after" credits are very important but make sure you ALWAYS have these maximized first.

Constition
Strength
Metabolish
Balance

Make sure you have the max Dam brick you can have
Make sure you have the max Accurate attack brick you can have (very critical when your in teams and hunting mobs higher than you would solo. You wont get xp if you cant hit the mob).

Make sure you have all the HP and Stam Credits you can have (lot of healers get annoyed at stam hogs so its good to slow down stam usage by mixing in some HP usage.)

Now start to look at the ignore armour /bleed/ slow bricks depending on what your weapon type is.

Dont forget the goodies like self heal HP and self heal stam. Your healer is trying but may not be able to keep everyone filled this may save you and your party from a wipe.

Speed, Mele Aura, Invulnerability

Ok now you can be fancy and start to buy up the dodge/parry/criticals. I would say you can afford to buy a couple of these but your points will be short at first. I would recommend only buying a couple of each type to get used to them and learn them but the other items listed are critical for survivial. The afters are more of a luxury. And dont forget If your a Dodge person get the dodge ones if your a parry person get the parry ones. Dont buy out the wrong ones.

Your base dodge is always constant your highest combat skill (Magic tree or Fight tree).

Your base parry is your equiped weapon skill level. If your unequiped for combat (i.e. pick in hands then this parry is your Hand to hand skill)
