Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

*hugs nightblade*

srry for ranting a bit, its just hard seeing the game ive enjoyed and put so much effort into going down the drain (imo)

There are positive things in this game, I love the graphics, the AI, the players ive met but unfortunately I need *something* to hold my interest apart from bugs, bad implementation and broken promises, and consequently if I log on once a week atm its a miracle :(

Well, I guess I'm in the same category as some of the posters above.
I'm still here because of inertia and because my sub hasn't run out yet. :p

It's more about what got me here in the first place, and the -hope- that we will eventually get more of it.

The cool graphics, innovative mobs, classless skill system, as well as the terrific community is what got me here. What would keep me here, beyond the free month, is more innovative lands (canopy?), different mobs and tribes (hints of Dark Matis, etc. to come), new skills, and more PvE and less PvP, so that the community stays co-operative and mature.

Originally, the challenge of connecting the 4 races was pretty exciting. The race to level 250 in any skill was pretty cool. Hopefully, new challenges of that sort of magnitude will re-appear.

Just make sure you don't ask me this question too often, or I may start asking myself the same question. ;)

Im still new and love a lot of things about the game :)

Just wanted to add something for the older players. It is normal to loose interest in a game after a while. It happens every now and then. I started playing ryzom due to feeling burnt out in eve-online for example. Every major patch i tend to have 1-2 months where i just cant bring myself to play. Then i start feeling like logging in again.

This happens, and its normal. Almost everyone i know that has played the same online game for more then a year feels this way. It is not unique for ryzom in any way. Just chill out, give it a month or two and most of you will feel like playing again.

If you have found a new game that you cant stop playing before that happens, wheres the problem? Its a game and in the end just play whatever brings you the most fun.

well said Sip :)

I've been playing forever (almost) and i am still deeply in love with everything Ryzom is. I have reached a point where the burnt out feeling creeps in now and again - as it does with everything in life. I'm sure one day i will reach a point where i have to stop playing and have a proper break/find something else to do. Until that happens i continue to enjoy my other life here, i play a lot and have waaay more things to do than i have time for. It's nothing that Nevrax told me to do though, not some mamoth quest or convoluted storyline. My enterainment comes from the people i know, and the skills i have learned here.

I'm hoping when my time is up i can say goodbye and leave, not get all bitter and twisted because i dont have fun anymore. When this happens it wont be beacuse of a new patch, or the evilness of Nevrax, but because of me =)

Hi, I am a brand new player. The one thing that drew me the most into Ryzom is the expansion that is in alpha stages now. The Ryzom Ring, being able to make anything you want and share it with others. Also allowing you to be the dungeon master is something I have always wanted to do in a MMO.

The Ryzom Ring/R2 is not something I would pay for via subscription... maybe if there was a stand alone version of the game that would intrigue me. Reminds me too much of other games additions to kill time, those were not subscription games...

*rolls eyes* Don't let the matis fool you goniko :) he's jsut too vain to admit R2 might be worth it - we'll just have to wait and see (personaly i doubt ill be using R2 to make anything or even play games (till ppl figure the bugs out) but u never know)

Welcome to Ryzom :D
