To be realistic, there is no reason why you can't have what you want. If Mike wants a bamboo sword then he should get it. Stats would be anything equal to supreme mats at whatever level the winner could use.
If Sunew wants a mysterious card that admits two persons to a mysterious place (eg magic Kami Oasis) where they can dig supreme mats in season, then so be it.
The rewards should be real prizes but if it is something you don't want (eg a Q250 2H axe with double fire enchant but you are a 1H swordsman of lvl 150)
then it is little reward. Other prizes like a return from/to anywhere TP season ticket would be of value. Just a little bit of thought and the odd question to the victors would be useful and welcome.

I hope this isn't going to be the only chance to do this as I know for sure I can't make that date & time, something called real life and my 22nd wedding anniversary will make sure of that. (I tried to unsub but apparently my contract says this is only possible upon death...) If someone in an official capacity could clarify please

...and yet another pick idea: 'pick of kami special dispensation' - along the lines of what Kyerna suggested, with reduced (or zero) lowering of the kami tolerance when you use it, but also makes you exempt from being smited when you're harvesting in a nil-KT zone.

Can i have a special cloak of agro aviodance? That would come in very handy.
Ahh, free to dig without worrying about those nasty critters!
But i'll settle for a nice new pick with a nice focus & extraction boost!
