The point of fighting in this event is to stop the harvester or guard your own. If all the harvester could just not take the fight mission, what would the point of fighting be? I don't go out killing other homins just for fun, I do so only if they stop me from digging.
This event is about two apposing sides fighting over the same resources and when homins fight someone gets hurt.

if we can't kill the harvesters nobody will come to this anymore.. just to protect harvesters from kittins... no way lol...

Two typically intransigent pro-PvP attitudes. We're trying to be constructive here and make suggestion to keep the WHOLE player base happy. Not just the selfish gankers. yet you just dismiss it out of hand, instead of making suggestions on how to improve the initial premise. That's why this community is going down the tubes.
To expand on Jayce's suggestion.... You could get more rewards for being PvP enabled. If you CHOOSE to go in there in fight mode, you get a higher percentage of points for the same actions than you do if you go in without PvP switched on (i.e. you're 'neutral'). Would that make you happier?

You'll come to keep ur butt at the top of the leader board and to get points for pretty rewards.
Diggers will come for the same and to progress the tempals.

That's just it, they aren't fighting over the same sources. There are way more than enough sources to go around.

weee thought my thought wud of been posted alrdy but nm
there does need to be a good reason why Fight is enabled tho, maybe alot more honor points? (double) So fighters get rewarded for their courage?

as i already said u cant kill all ppl in the comunity happy its a pvp area so if ppl dont like get nuked just dont enter these lands
there are ppl who like harvest and ppl who like kill harvesters how can u suggest something that can make both happy? plus its the same egoistic for the harvesters dont let the fighters do what these lands offer
furthermore since u like a suggestion.... ask the community to find 3 days of the week that everyone can harvest in peace and the rest 4 days for pvp

No I'm not a big fan of PvP, but it can be fun in moderation. The idea you had would not have made the WHOLE player base happy. I would go, as far as to say, it would be less liked by the players then what we have now.
Talking about selfish, the so-called anti-PvP people on this forum are some of the most selfish people I have ever seen in a game. There are a handful of anti-PvP people that thing this game that was always going to have PvP should change to suit them. Yes it is nice to make suggestions to make the game better but trying to force people to see things your way is selfish. Nevrax made a game that is going to have PvP in it, if your so against this kind of game style it may be time to move on.

You can keep most people happy though, or at least make an attempt.
And if I hear the phrase 'You don't have to go in there' or some derivative thereof again, I am getting a shotgun and doing some RL PvP on some people
IF there was a concurrent event or a non PvP alternative participation then, perhaps, that argument might be valid. However, as the only game in town, the first chance to influence the landscape permanently, and the only thing progressing and involving the plot at the moment, insisting that people can or should miss out is to miss the point entirely. Just like access to supreme mats in PvP areas this is, in effect, forced PvP. Even more so than the PR.
PvP fans can easily kill OTHER PvP fans and leave those who don't like it alone, keeping everyone happy and giving both what they want. Even more so in fact since blasting helpless targets can't be very engaging or challenging for the pro PvPers, and the peaceful can dig in peace. Everyone happy.
The peaceful ones are not, indeed cannot, force what they want on anyone, they can just appeal and hope and ask, the gankers however have been empowered by Nevrax to force what they prefer on others and not enough are respecting other players' enjoyment and preference. That is where the egotism problem comes in.
