they may, or may not improve them a little.
i'm stuck with bouncy tryker female ;-(
i wonder, how many voted only on their main race/gender poll ?
and how many did "Hey, this looks funny. i vote YES"
i voted only tryker female (vote was NO btw)
as I said in another post one month ago... I agree with ya... one player should be able to vote ONLY for his interested poll. I'm male Zorai, vote only for male Zorai... I don't like the concept of someone else - NOT interested directly like me - vote for me... It's MY character, me and only me can vote for it... noone else... especially when I'm pretty sure ppl are voting for worst animations just as personal vendetta.
my vote was NO as well btw.

Mad props to Nevrax for allowing the voting to be done individually.
Thats awesome....I actually agree with the commmunity on most of the selections for once.

I see yourpoint, and I respect it... but... why shouldn't other players vote on how they
see the other characters? to some extent, is it as Nevrax wanted to add a new boss mob and said "we have two different skins a or b, which one do you want"? should only the boss vote?. Also, what would happen if nevraw made a poll to nerf elemental for example, and let only elementals vote? or non-elementals?
I also think that setting in place the vote as you suggested, it's way harder for nevrax: first, correlate login names in forums to characters. Then, deal with players having several characters.
Regards,

when i had new animations enabled and playing tryker, it was OK to see zorai run or other tryker female run
BUT, i dont like how tryker female runs when i play her and i dont like how zorai run when i play my zorai toon...
that heavy up/down movement distracts me.. a lot ;-(
especially when i have camera at default zoom (have not touched mouse wheel)

I voted for all and I voted NO because eventhoughI play a Tryker male I will still have too look at all the other toons moving around like friggin monkeys....
*sign* yet an other dissapointment...
Why remove the choice? just keep the current situation and have people choose what they like best....

The Zorai and Fyros animations passed... but not by a lot.
I hope when Nevrax redoes the racial animations they'll consider redoing those again to something more eye pleasing and maybe even more in-theme with the cultures of those civilizations. You can't please all the people... but you can certainly do better than just pleasing a simple majority.

I agree, let people vote in-game with the enable checkbox. Please Nevrax, don't remove the switch option or the old animations. Leave it be.

What would there be to stop people making alts (as I did to check out the animations from a player perspective) and voting there?
The vote turned out pretty much how I predicted (though I thought the zorai female one wouldn't pass) and I think its unreasonable to have yet another vote on this issue.
Lets just hope they can refine, rather than change, the animations a little in the near(ish) future.

You misunderstand what I meant. I didn't mean take a poll of how many people have the animations turned on, I meant just give us the choice. Leave the tickbox in and let us turn it on or off depending on our own personal preference. Leave the choice in place, rather than forcing the people who voted no to have something they don't want.
Personally I hate the Fyros run (and voted so) but now I'm going to have to use 1st person view when running. Just so I don't have to see that god awful bouncy, jerky, styled by a child, commodore 64 style run. It looks so amateur compared to the old, more fluid run, but obviously not everyone agreed with me (though I suspect most of the yes votes were Matis!

).
