I do realize that there was a large group of people attempting to work in an uneasy truce. However, I point back to my letter. This is the same way real life works. There are those who believe that only through working together, even if the other person is the enemy, that they can accomplish their goals. However, there are others who believe that there is a time when force should be used, be it to prevent resources from being gained by the enemy or simply because there is a difference in religious ideals.michielb wrote:Morgain, you do realise that last night you and your merry band were greately outnumbered by a cross faction group that does not like "your" type of light entertainment? In fact I believe that at some point the majority of the people in the zone were working together peacefully and you only managed to break us up because we were bound by the FvF restrictions as well as having a lot of people there who simply refused to fight an other player.... I was was there last night and so were many others, we were "taking part" in our own way. We were having fun until someone decided the way we were "taking part" wasn't permitted there and decided to end it.
So for those of you choosing non-violent resistance, I commend you. No one is preventing you from "taking part" in the new content. It brings to mind Gandhi, a man who was able to achieve a great deal without violence, however, was unable to avoid violence itself (he was shot to death by a fanatic). That said, your stance is also an honorable one, however, don't get angry when battle continues around you.
Yes, i am an AoD. and yes, I think that the new zone is not "lower" friendly. While its somewhat of a shame, I think that it was about time that there was some content that was for the higher levels. Previously, the only motivation to get that high was for the title and the respect it brings. Being that high only really helps when a teams about to wipe or on boss hunts.Norvic wrote:...the Fact you are a high lvl pro PvP nuker I fully understand how pleased you are with the new old lands area...
"Yay! I hit 250 Elemental magic! what can I do now?"
"well, you're too high for this hunt and you won't get an xp anymore... we could go do a boss hunt if you like"
"so you mean I grind to 250 and now I get to grind some more... just less often and for no xp?"
With the opening of the FvF zone, people are getting to put those high skills to good use and the time put into grinding them up that high is paying off. It also means that people have to work as a team (something that most of the people aren't doing). A 250 Digger thats not touched the other trees is easy prey to fighters/kinchers. So in order for a good deal of diggin to be done, a team must guard the diggers. When those mats are dropped off, there also has to be a higher level crafter present to help make the larger parts of the temples. Essentailly, each "specialized" person has to work with the others to accomplish the end goal.
