On the other hand, bad.

A war, particularly a vicious, faith-based religious war is not something you all shake hands after and go back to how things were.

"Terribly sorry about beheading you in the name of my vacuous space-tart old chap. Drinks at the club tuesday?"

"Don't mind if I do. Sorry about incinerating you while you were digging and helpless in the name of our imaginary friend old bean. Do drop by Zorai and have mushroom roast with me and the missus this weekend."
My post was completely OOC :) In game, we are warring, killing each other's harvesters, and not giving each other an inch. When I said hi to you in game, that was OOC too. I would have rather done that than said nothing, never having run into you in game :P

I accept a lot of what you say and that it is particularly applicable to RL, so why not put these efforts into real life and escape like the rest of us every now and then into this "virtual" one.

Because (reference to my other post) I am majoratively a Narrativist/Simulationist. I am a long time roleplayer and the majority of enjoyment for me comes from taking part in (and shaping) the course of the story and making decisions/participating in character.

That means, even though I find a good part of what's going on to be like pulling teeth I have no choice but to participate if I'm to stay true to my character or to have anything at all to do with the ongoing story or glean any reward for my mercenary alter-ego.

Also my RL job is fantasy worlds and escapism :)
