Alright, lets try and be positive, some (hopefully) minor changes that would help, IMO...
1. Give (lower) honour awards for killing kitin to motivate people to protect diggers rather than dash off and kill people and/or allow their mats to be contributed at the camps towards the building.
2. Half, or less, honour for killing an unarmed adversary (no mittens or weapon in hand).
3. Change the word 'honour' to 'favour' as honour has MANY connotations that don't fit what is going on, also 'honour' recalls WoW, and we don't really want to do that.
4. Extend faction identification on radar to the full 250m to give harvesters a fighting chance and make things less easy for the gankers.
If at all possible could you also invent a time machine and take us back 6 months and lay better groundwork for the sudden insanity of the homin leaders so that the war makes better sense in context? Cheers

Oh, and let us CHOOSE if we want to be kami/karavan/neutral when we enter these zones with comensurate impact on our fame, as it was set up before.
Just because our fame is high with one faction doesn't mean we love them to bits and if we decide to help another side then we shouldn't have to spend days grinding our fame back down in order to do so.

It already is driving people away.
It will not logically bring players to the game.
why?
Because I, as a lvl 248 elemental have a very hard time keeping up. I am an experienced player that has a large skill (level) base to draw from.
New players do not and will not. If they come to Ryzom because of the new changes, they will leave just as fast. They will stand no chance, especially with the heal change, in the Episode 2 area.
SO... it seems that this change is pushing away both old and new players.
You can't have content for high level characters without being able to say what you just said.
You could have said that all about non-PvP content...

Episode two isn't a path to the future of ryzom its a path to the exit sign. I'm just pissed I couldnt see where they were taking this game.

the point is to slow the speed that the enemy can build their building

You don't need "honor" points to do that, so I think you just reinforced his point.
My critique of Episode 2

I would really like to see this implemented for these faction events.

My biggest concern about the future of Ryzom is the following:
nevrax wrote:Neutrality in the on-going conflict will definitely be an option; there won't be specific gameplay for neutral players, but a roleplay ground and specific instructions will be given shortly. You'll have your own way of influencing the Episode 2 outcome.
So it sounds like they're assuming all players that aren't into PvP are roleplayers. How in the world are those two mutually exclusive? I don't particularly like either RP or PvP.
I want gameplay that doesn't involve PvP, not just roleplay. I want to do things like build buildings, work to open and explore new lands, discover the history of atys, and uncover the mystery of the kami and karavan. Why would these gameplay elements have to always be factioned PvP combat?
I think you need to seriously reconsider your stance on not creating "specific gameplay for neutral players".

Very much agree.
While I do have a limited intrest in PvP & roleplay it's far from the main features that I like most in Ryzom.
