They could at least have warned us that the guards would not tolerate anyone who isn't Karavan allied.
next thing we'll have a new FvF in our backyard, this time with kmi guards FUN!

I returned, I saw, I left.
Going to sleep on it though, just to be sure. I still love the game.

I had lots of fun, did't I see some of you there having fun too?
There is more to this event than PvP, you can help by harvesting and crafting as well.
I spent most of my time harvesting and liked it. Is that so bad?

Hmmmm, this morning I logged on, ran into Ishamael all dressed up in armor out for revenge. Not letting my Karavan guildies down (and for protection) I geared up for some healing.
I got kill stealed. A unique experience in which the opposing faction will set a few purple kinchers on you only to take your last 100 hp with some mega nuke. Weird to experience.
Then I remembered I could dig as well, so got into my sparkly brand new digginggear (still have 349926 payments to go and that baby will be mine). Now the opposing faction camped my camp so I coulnt even exit it. Okee, to make a long story short: something snapped, my focusgear is damaged, I agree I had some fun, Mioette killed me while I waved at her with pick in hand, I got about 20 resins and indeed noticed that is gankers paradise. Oh, and I fired a few offensive spells at Thom and some other Kamihuggers (cannot remember who). Not sure what to think now.
Also I took a look at the scoreboard. Nice thing is that kami fight, while Karavan dig. I think I will dig. In Loria. With everyone ganking everyone else in the desert, KT is likely pretty high everywhere else!

Well, after a night sleep, yesterday it was the "opening episode 2 climax", with many people (usually 250ish) eager to KoS .
Maybe the unleashed stress after long monthes of waiting.
Since i planned to get as many mats and craft as much as possible (as being mainly melee i dont stand a chance against nuker) So i participatd....and got squished like an insect on pavement at rushhour between the nuke exchange.
I think -or hope- that the gank attitude would cool down when people will get used to the "gameplay", and start some real team management -- chain dig'n'craft'n'protect session --

That pickaxe looked pretty dangerous at the time
You looked like you were part of a Karavan raid against our diggers, so I was defending them aggressivly!

Ok, after a VERY poor start, I did enjoy myself in the end. As the two sides began to get a hang of it, the raids became less common (and more enjoyable) and both sides began to put more effort into defending their diggers from the Kitins.
On the downside, 99% of the fighters are still nuker/healers and a lot of the combat still takes the form of the two sides nuking each other from 50m apart. Hopefully a better balance between melee'ers and mages will develop as we get used to the rebalanced combat system.
