I agree with Spiff too, to a certain extent. There's a whole load of non-PVP stuff coming and some PVP stuff as well. The PVPers are going to have to do missions etc. if they want some of the content, the non-PVPers will have to fight if they want that part of the content. Maybe it seems that outposts are the lion's share but we'll have to wait and see.
The non-PVP group has another option which the title of this thread leads to - they could all form a massive alliance agreeing not to fight over outposts and just dish them out. If any PVPer guild comes to spoil their fun then the sheer number of people can defeat them.
In this case Outposts will spawn a political system. We don't know how much they will have to do with Kami/Karavan either yet so there may be reasons not to gank your neighbour as well.
I'd like some non-PVP outposts too and they may come one day although then we might find ourselves harvesting 40 hours/week to keep them

Here's a thought - if you could harvest all those mats instead of fighting, would you do it? And if so, what's to stop a guild fighting on your behalf (not my guild necessarily) for those mats? Could this serve both sides of the community?
PVP has gotten a bad rep (just like a few PVP guilds have) due to a minority of 'excitable' types. With outposts meaning more people engage in this, we should drag 'them' up rather than the other way round. And the Faction PVP flag will hopefully give a few that seem to have A.D.D. something to do while we ignore them and carry on hunting.
