We can address this injustice at the hominist conference.

The Karavan support those whom will follow them. They do not dictate how we rule ourselves or behave, except in matters important to them, the rest is up to us. They gave support to the Matis when the Tryker were enslaved in our old lands, as equally as they gave support to Trykers seeking and fighting for liberty from the Matis. When the Fyros and Matis warred over the city of Karavia the Karavan did not intervene in the homin's conflicts.
We homins decide these matters, the Karavan does not dictate to us morals and ethics except in their crusade against the Kami who do dictate a doctrine of enforced balance, decided by them.

Well said, I often wonder what agenda is being followed by homins that misppeak history and lore to suit their own ends.

None the less, it is the Matis that are asking us Trykers to join in their war, not the Karavan.

Pero, I only ask that the Karavan cease their alliance with the Slavers. If the Slavers can survive unallied, like their neighbors the Bounty Snatchers or countless other bandit tribes, so be it.
Aajolea, there is some wisdom in your words. However, the Karavan needs to be more selective in its choice of who to call allies. Possibly, I should look to the Matis allies of the Slavers first. It is shameful that the Slavers are one of the Matis closest allies. If I can find three good and true Matisians who will take the Tryker mission to help my cleanse Bounty Beaches of the Slaver presence, I will call off my petition drive against the Karavan.

What about the Matis people who are also in the camp? Is the tryker's problem suddenly with every single matis?
The problem is with the Karavan. They should not support a tribe that takes slaves! Nor should the Fyros people, or the Matis people.
But while they are shelted under the karavan ship, it appear as if the karavan agree with what they are doing. Does that mean that they don't mind using you as a slave too?

To those that wish to blame slavery on the Karavan are misguided. The Karavan support those that support them, as do the Kami. As long as the tribe/race adheres to the beliefs of the faction they get the benefits of the faith. The matter of slavery among homins is a homin issue, and a Tryker issue as it is Tryker territory. If you wish to petition anyone, petition your own government to remove the tribe.

I had forgotten in which guild Hebre resided. I raise my voice and, if need be, my sword against slavery. Are you saying that Atys Ghosts approves of slavery and welcomes slave-owners?

As the old song says:
When i was back there in seminary school
There was a person there
Who put forth the proposition
That you can petition the karavan with prayer
Petition the karavan with prayer
Petition the karavan with prayer
You CANNOT petition the karavan with prayer!
And I hear the kind of petition with lots of signatures, that doesn't work either.

Many words have been spoken here, but I find it somewhat strange that it doesnt look like anyone has actually spoken to Hebre about this (Though please correct me if am wrong).
So to try to get a few more facts on the table, I sent him a letter where I told him about this thread.
I asked him if he had a slave, and if he had one, why?
He said that he didnt know that there was anyone who had a problem about this, and wondered why homins didn't just ask him, if they didnt understand it.
He said he had two choices.
1. he could see another great homin die and disappear forever.
2. he could take this great homin under his protection, and help him in any way that is possible.
So he chose to help, like any other Tryker would do.
And the slave title?
Well he agreed that the title could be misleading, but said that it had nothing at all to do with slavery!
Glenn, as this "slave" is called, is a great fighter who would never let anyone tell him what to do, or not to do.
Hebre said that he gives Glenn everything he needs, including good training in many skills.
He is free to go and do whatever he feels like whenever he wants.
It was Glenn himself that suggested this title, and his reason for this was simple.
To pay back for all the free training, all the free equipment, free packers and mount, a free home for himself and his own guildhall.
He wanted to work hard to help Hebre get closer to his goals in crafting, so Hebre was able to give a better help to his guild mates.
And Hebre reminded me the word slave means more than "a helpless victim of someone's dominating influence".
The word slave also means "a person working very hard". Another word was "workhorse", but he didnt like the idea of comparing Glenn with an animal.
If anyone had big problems with this title, he said it would be no problem to change it...
(Btw, if anyone wonders, Hebre gave me permission to use text from our communication in this post)
It looks to me that there is a big misunderstaning here. In my eyes there is nothing wrong going on...
So I just wonder Riveit, it just seems to me that you aren't brave enought to ask a friendly homin a simple question. If you aren't brave enought to ask, how can you think people will belive that you are able to lift your sword against another homin?
It looks like you are trying to mislead other respected homins with words which are not based on facts, but on confused assumptions.
Are you looking for someone that can start a fight for you?
I didnt think Trykers liked to fight, but loved and helped each other.
And thats all I have to say about this...
