They basically reversed the retardization. While the heal hp went down a lot, so we can no longer heal 2k over what the cap is on a players general hp (4500 is the cap I believe, I could heal for 6960 with 100/100 heal amps at 250.)
Well, heal heals for 3.6k~ now. Woohoo. I can heal people up to just alive if they're a 250 meleer. Well, now I can heal people for 4,600 sap! YAY! I can heal for 2,000 sap over what any normal/sane non-afflictionist-extraordinaire has. Woohoo!
Not only that, I can heal for 5,000 bloody stam! Who in the hell will have 5,000 stam? Not even a dagger user would be taht dumb. 2600 hp to have the max stam? (4500) Kinda dumb imo.
all in all, the changes were overtly dumb, and while possibly balancing the double heal and double nuke, we can now heal waaay waaay too much sap/stam.

Also, based on balancing: 3,000 damage is a 100/100 nuke. This, combined with whatever extreme maluses the receiver has while casting make a 3,600 heal exactly balanced with the nuke.. Example, a nuker hits another nuker for 3k. THe other nuker drains x00 hp while casting.. so he takes 3,300 or whatever damage from the 3,000 + his own casting.. THus a 3,600 heal is great.
HOWEVER: once a person is reduced to zero hp, they die. This requires 200% of their life total in heal power to get htem to 100% hp. I.e.: if you have 4500hp, you would have to be healed about 9000hp worth of heals to be brought to full life. (well, 200% life total might not be right, but it's somewhat close)
This means, it's way easier to kill someone than get them up. Thus, heals should actually be able to heal for 4-5, even the old 7k. Bringing someone down is easier than bringing them back up.

Yah, i agree with my fellow guildmates - We samsara had a nice little field day with the new heals and found that a lvl 50ish and lvl 100ish team of healers did well. however healing is nothing like it used to be. a healer can't sit and press "1..1...1..." all day while reading a book. its finally become an ACTIVE process. the healer is no longer a battery but a part of the team that has to work just as hard as the rest.
so yea, the tricks are out there and there are ways of healing pretty efficiently, just gotta learn to forget everything u KNEW about healing, and relearn it with our new stanzas.

um.. i agree stam/sap is HIGH and thats kinda nice for those of us that havent reached master status yet but too high is true..
easier down than up eh? isnt that the point of the whole pvp thing? itll def even out fights a bit - no point in going "killed ya!" turning around to fight something else when all of a sudden the dude u JUST KILLED is back up and at full life stabbing at you with his preffered battering ram. that kinda fight just sucks. people will be down.. the 'victor' that killed em would have a whole 2 seconds to do something else, before he has to REFIGHT his fight all over again! - now thats a retarded idea

I take great offense to your comments. I don't know how you heal, but healing was the hardest skill to purform in game for me. I was always part of the team and worked as hard as the others members. I can agree on that fights could last a little longer; that would give more room for both melee and affliction. However, easier to resurrect than the current state would, in my view, be very "dumped down".

I dont know how you heal, but I always found healing the hardest job around, just to keep everybody up with hp, sap and stam...
Lately i have been doing some melee and i just hit a couple of buttons while near the mob while chatting etc. I tried chatting and healing, but for some reason some people didnt like it if they were yoyo-ed.
