If you get dropped in PvP zone, don’t whine about it in a thread. Remember the person’s name, get your fellow guildies and hunt him/her down. Take care of your business.

If you or your guild isn’t strong enough, train more or get an alliance with a stronger guild and then hunt them down.

If your guild won’t support you because they’re a “friendly guild”, you’re going to have problems digging in a PvP zone.

Some believe they have the right to just harvest a super-node of supreme zun at their leisure. If you can, more power to you. But don’t complain about a guild that is looking out for their best interest by acquiring resources.

People need to stop being so sensitive and remember your Kami and Karavan roles.

Social contract.

This would mean getting involved in MORE PvP, would encourage the rotten apples, provide them with more of the gameplay they like, make the situation _worse_ and accomplish.... nothing.

A lot of effort to do something you don't want to do.

Or perhaps they're more creative...

Yes, this is right. Of cause there is also rules how to behave as human.

No, never do this. You put the person on You ignore list and tell You friends about it. NEVER go to support the playing style what other wants on the first place. It's a lot better punishment to not support it.

Yes, non-consentual PvP areas aren't meant for people who don't wanna PvP. There is no point to go there and play victim. Better go there and be ready for PvP as the area is design. Maybe someday nevrax undestands the different of full consent and blocked content consent.

No, You can't force roles to someone. Just because nevrax or someone wanna someting to go certain ways, does not mean it will do so. Players have habit to walk they own roads on the world of Ryzom.

Forcing people to do what they don't wanna, makes them unhappy. It's bad for business.

As long has you don't violate CoC rules your fine. I have no obilgations to rez anyone or provide assistance of any kind to anyone, if thats the character I wish to play. (Personally its not what I do. I try to be as helpful as I can to most ppl.)

PvP zones weren't accidentally created by SoR staff. They were put there for a purpose; to encourge Player vs Player. It's also not a coincidence that the best mats are in PvP zones.

Ok, this I don't understand. A good guild will do everything in its power to protect its members and others who can't defend themselves. That means lots of training and endless grinding. If your in a guild that is unwilling to ensure your safety, its time to find a new guild.

I'll admit I'm pretty simple in most ways. But there is one thing I know, if I'm put down I will get up. And when I'm up, I'll doing everything in my power to stay up. That means training and creating alliances between guilds that will ensure our safety.

That's a wider problem than just in games. "If it doesn't explicitly say I can't do it, it must be fine!

Which is what makes it non-consensual PvP, creating most of the problem.
Let the PvPers get their jollies at events for the purpose thereof, arenas and duels. That way they can get what they want and not screw anything up for anyone else.

No, a good guild does not have to be a PvP focussed, power-levelling machine. People have other interests. A good guild is one that matches what you want from the game.

"Don't whine about it in a thread."

Agreed.

You do have an obligation, however, to report it to your fellow players, in and out of guild. The best way to do that, short of burning a wad of TP tickets and spamming as many regions as you have access to, is to post it to the forums. Other players have the right to know who out there is willing to engage in unprovoked player killing, even if they are not willing to engage in PvP themselves, it will at least allow them to prepare themselves if they see the ganker's name after typing /who.

Just because non-consentual PvP is allowed in some areas, does not give anyone the right to kill another who poses no threat to them.

It's always controversial to talk about 'rights' but one thing is certain;
There is a huge difference between a right and an ability.
