Yea, they shoulda gave a free trial to download

Come on people. I get weary of you whining about not having a free trial... Nevrax offered an open beta all of you could have joined, that was actually available to join for several months. All and any of you could easily have downloaded the client or gotten a CD-ROM version bundled in a variety of pc game mags. If you haven't heard of it before, you should've checked out any games mag in stores or (if you live in Germany) checked out giga TV or their website. Nevrax may or may not offer a free trial in the future, but I think giving you a month of free play is something none of you can complain about. Let me assure you, money spent on purchasing this game is money well invested, as this game will captivate you for weeks and most probalby years to come...

Free trial usually screams of 'we're broke and we need customers' to me. So I would say NO to that.

They should have download option free or not. I have just given my friend my 'Invite a Friend' key code, but there is no way he can play because he can't download the game, and he lives on the other side of the country so no way can i lend him my CD.

The bring a friend scheme was really well thought out, wasn't it? Another stupid idea gone wrong.

I've heard that some people are setting up Bit torrent, others are mailing the cd, some are installing it (if they live close enough) and basically, if you don't like your friend enough to get them the CD then don't use the 'bring a friend' option. That's ok.

I'd call this a case of operator error.

I fought for this program and so did everyone else here because that's what the players told us they wanted... was that a screw up on our part?

I guess as a CM I'm not allowed to call anyone an ungrateful whiner so I won't.

Umm, I would say I completely disagree with this. Everquest who is made by the monster company Sony offered the same things as SOR. I wouldn't say they are screaming they are broke and need customers.

This is only giving people option to check them out and I am glad they are. This may give them alot of customers they might not otherwise have gotten. I know alot of my friends will be trying it who otherwise wouldn't of.
