Here we go again....did anyone know that since the last patch...
Re: Here we go again....did anyone know that since the last patch...
k, so u cant join a team for res now. am i right in thinking Lands of Umbra is GvG and not FvF, so u can't heal same faction out of team there? maybe worth a check..

While the reasons for these undocumented changes make sense from a game designers point of view, they can actually be annoying for some players, as indicated in this thread.
In fact as 'bugs' are fixed and 'exploits' dealt with and 'features' implemented the ongoing knock-on effect seems to be an increasing degree of oddness. Different parts of the world are beginning to jarr with other bits. A natural result of rubbish design and programming of course. If things were thought out or implemented correctly initially then things would simply flow together in a sensible way.
So we have oddness, which for me ruins the immersion a bit. But the changes are always amusing and interesting to discover; keeping me entertained one way or another.

I can't play as I'm out of country, but these changes sound half-baked at best.
Also, regardless of whether it is an exploit fix or not, these changes should be documented. It seems clear that the devs have no intention of being honest with the player base about changes to the game. I would like patches to be something I can look forward to, but with a consistent track record of stealth changes I can only wonder before a patch what they're going to screw up this time around.

but if u document an exploit fix before the fix, then everyone will expliot surely? I'm firmly on the side of not announcing such changes.madnak wrote:I can't play as I'm out of country, but these changes sound half-baked at best.

Although after spending a bit of time playing with Aen last night have failed to come up with a way to whack her effectively (at all)

reported the lands of umbre out of team rez thing directly after server went up. even during the time it was closed, frustrating to see 4 peeps on top of u idd
anyway even the gm's didnt know about this i'm afraid and imo it aint a good change will get more and more peeps in the higher areas where the spots will deplete faster and faster now meaning more and more dp to get mats...
Yoshi sad

When you compare Aen to Lixie (Tryker boss in Enchated Isle), Aen was way easier. Now it sounds like Aen is more comparable to Lixie. Still even if it was considered exploitable, there should have been something about it in the patch notes, like the devs did with the named mobs.

Well at least all the q200+ heavy armor crafters will be happy with this news that Aen is harder.

Undocumented feature interesting for those higher lvl diggers:
[weird sentence alert]
Since patch, you dont have to twist and turn to pull the sourcewindow (hovering over the source) clear, so you can get a tiptool information on sourcecontent.
[alert off]
Diggers who dig 15+ pieces a source will know what I mean. The window can be overlapped, behind, under, far away, anything. And sourcecontent will still show. Great stealthpatch thing imo. Not documented *as this was always intended like this*, just as Aen
