i solved all my BSOD problems by replacing my sub 1gb ram with twice that. In fact i was pretty suprised how effective more ram was at removing most crashes.

Well I had 512 before and it crashed less.. but it ran like a pig. Now when it runs it runs great but not for long, heh. 
Anyway, I'll keep running this fan and see if it improves things today.
Don't really wanna spend a load on cooling and it not make a difference.
