Since Senew miss interpreted my attempt at humor, I'll pass on some of my own crazy theories.

DISCLAMER: These crazy theories have no relation to the crazy theories I expound in character. They do relate to some of DCC's acknowledge source material.

Atys is one of many inhabitable planets/planet sized moons in it's solar system. Once it was a normal rocky planetary body with oceans and continents. The Kami and Karavan were two of the first intelegent races to evolve in the solar system. The Karavan on Atys polluted the planet and then waged war over the remaining natural resources.

In response, the planet/Kami/Elias (pick one) responded by creating the world tree to cleanse the pollutants and regenerate the ecosystem. The tree covers the mineral resources, thus restricting home-grown technology. The kitin are the tree's protectors. They keep the Karavan or any other race from destroying the tree before it finishes the task for which it was created.

The dragon is an war bio-machine that survived the ancient conflict and now sleeps deep in the prime roots. A group that controls the dragon could rule Atys, or destroy it.

Then there is the prophecy that a hero in blue will save hominkind.

Don't forget the stationary sun, it just dims during night.

For all we know, Atys is a plant, the 'sun' is a desk lamp and kitins are regular insects.

Jena is a Java framework for building Semantic Web applications. It provides a programmatic environment for RDF, RDFS and OWL, including a rule-based inference engine.

Jena is open source and grown out of work with the HP Labs Semantic Web Programme.

The Jena Framework includes:

* A RDF API
* Reading and writing RDF in RDF/XML, N3 and N-Triples
* An OWL API
* In-memory and persistent storage
* RDQL – a query language for RDF

5) the Karavan live in pr and they don't want us too see their home. thats why they don't like us going down there. Maybe the "Dragon" is their home land or capital city of the karavan.

6) The Dragon is some kind of weapon that kami and Karavan are after, and they don't want us to get it first so they says the Dragon is Dangerous so we won't find it first.

Karavan: Silent Invaders, trying to steal the Resources of Atys. Maybe out to repair their ship (see dragon)

Kami: True Aborigines of Atys, defending their Planet.

The Dragon: A downed Karavan Ship, that came bursting from the Sky in great ball of Fire! Burried somewehre in the Roots and the Karavan don´t want the Homins to find it.

Jena: A leading figure in Karavan Society. Maybe the Commander of the downed ship.

The Homins: Either also Natives of Atys, but "younger Races" than the Kami, or a genetic Experiment by the Karavan. Slave Races...

The Goo: Terraforming by the Karavan. Adapting the Environment and Atmosphere to their needs. Notice they´re all wearing breathing gear...
Or toxic leakage from the downed ship.

The Kitin: A non indigenious Species of Insekts brought acidentally into the Environment by the Karavan. Much like some Insekts or Animals to Australia.
They were aboard the Ship and "mutated" to their present size under the new Eko-Systems influenecs.

Just my thoughts.
