Ahh, another question regarding events! It's always touchy to answer such a question without spoiling the story (and I'm not even talking of having to face Ravna's wrath :) ). So I'll only discuss a technical side-point here: one of the reasons why we haven't run invasions lately was a stability issue. We have created some hard-to-catch server crashes with the last invasions, and we were reluctant to launch new ones before we had fixed the problem. Some work is being done on it currently and as soon as we have nailed the crash bugs and tested the fixes, we’ll start holding invasions again.

Grove of Umbra, Fount, any other sightings ? :D
have done a very quick run around tunnel of woe in knoll of dissent (couple of purples but with normal titles), hidden source, and fleeting garden, but wasnt 100% thorough, so good chance I might have missed them..

a RAID is for me an invasion, like we had a looooooooooooong time ago (October 2004 or so)

Actually, I would say the AI engine displays the mobs, and RAID is just a part or function of the AI engine. I would also think the AI system in general can function without any of the RAID functionality getting in the way.

As I understand it, RAID is just a label for the section of AI code that controls RAID-specific parameters. In other words, when a Capryni is drinking from an oasis, RAID is nowhere to be seen.

They drop claws and secretion so far. There is a new structure sighted in Fount Porch, still have to check it out.

And I can join the group that goes: "Told you so".

Also I wonder what the respawn rate is. Lets all group in Fount and the Grove to kill this infestation tonight. Show em who is the boss on Atys!

RAID - is not about displaying the mobs or the mob AI (both of these function independently)

We have had AI crashes - Mobs stand still or behave irratically
We have had mob display crashes - server stays up (landscape and Homins present) but NO mobs displayed.

Anyway - if this is an invasion as a result of joining the amber pieces, (Did I mention that it was a bad idea to do this? Oh yes, TOLD YOU SO!) to arms homins ... sure beats hitting each other with sticks fighting someone elses war.
