Thanks, Neiana/Kaena :) . I've checked out your board and definitely want to be a part of LoT. I'm going to look for you in-game here in a sec, so we can get started. Just wanted to post this in case I don't see ya immediately, plus, well, I like to post.

/useless bump (thread is already at top) :D

For some reason I cannot get access to the LoT forum at Warcry. I've been meaning to post but can't.

It's been a blast since I joined LoT, I am just sorry I haven't had a whole lot of playing time lately . . . Saga of Ryzom is a great game and it's even better in this guild.

LoT is accepting applications for a few good Trykers willing to serve the Kami and not the Karavan.

If you are interested, please leave a comment here or send a /tell to Kaena in game :D

Not to stir up anything but I would like to point out I was looked down on during my short stay in this guild because I want to be a power player and was even told if I wanted to do this that I could be introduced to officers in other guilds. This is no problem for me, I gladly said farewell and wished all good luck, but feel that if this is not the case then it should not be advertised as such.

The discussion Lexi brings up is in fact an actual discussion, however, I felt that her point of view was that - if we are out hunting, then we should automatically look for 3k xp whether we are having fun where we are at or not.

We do have/appreciate the power player, but not at the expense of taking the time to go to a different location while we were already having fun where we are at. A small note, we were not in a group, she was not disturbing anything at the time - it was a difference of opinion in guild chat while nothing significant was going on.

Actually that is not how the discussion went which you can ask anyone that was there. There was nothing said in the discussion about inconviencing anyone by moving to a different area if people were already having fun. As was said by Kaena/Neiana she would rather go out and get 200 exp per kill rather than risk anyone in her group as long as she was playing with friends and having fun. That's all fine and good, but my point and issue was (and to keep the facts straight here) that I didn't see any reason why you couldn't be a power player as well as play with friends and having fun. After all we are here to play a game. I must say there is a difference betweens ones perception of point of view and what is actually said. I know myself I was frustrated and felt I was not even being listened to and only half of what I said was being heard which was only the part about being a power player. I am not trying to bash on anyone here, we all have our tastes and likes/dislikes and are all entitled to those and there is nothing wrong with having ones own playing style, my point is that people should not represent themselves being something they are not, and if things have just changed since that time then just say so, but that is what they were at that time. I didn't want to make a huge issue out of this and I will not keep dragging it along but facts are facts regardless of self perceptions and denials and I felt that I needed to say something. Now like a good little girl I better run off and make sure not to disturb anything... Sorry Kae as snyde as this may sound and I know you were trying to be generous when you said this about not disturbing anything but you are a guild leader, not a gradeschool teacher even if it feels that way sometimes.

I said a couple times in that discussion: "It doesn't matter if we are getting 3k, or 300xp - if we are having fun, then the desired result has been accomplished. There is no need to go in search for more xp and possibly risk the group members."

Considering that we ranged in levels from 30-60 at the time (with only one healer and on the lower end of that), I most certainly didn't want to risk running around in DD or wherever just to get xp. This was the disagreement.

You insisted that, to have fun, one must get everything out of it that they can. Or at least you insisted that you must get everything you can to enjoy it. Again, I was not going to risk anybody (especially since it'd be quite a swim back to wherever we might have been) for the express intent for higher xp unless they wanted to. Since you left we have had a hunt where the generally expressed idea was we were hunting too low - it was simply too easy, so we went off somewhere to hunt higher - which is perfectly fine, but we all died almost immediately in the new location. Not only does this show that, when more than one person just wants more xp, we can move - but that for the next entire hour we did not earn anything at all. Which, was my point to you.

We do have power players in the guild, and we are perfectly happy having them. We do not have the ability to power them though, and when they choose to do so, they do so with other friends. Sometimes we all go out and try fun stuff together, and it's fun (especially since we have a few healers pretty high in ability now :D ) - but that's because we decide where to go and we go there, without worrying about the xp we get.

And again you were not listening to me. I never said we needed to go to DD or any place way above our level. And we had the capability of getting more than 200-300 exp at a time. I know this because I soloed most of my way up to level 50 something without much difficulty and pretty quickly too I might add. But whatever go ahead and keep putting things in your own perspective so it's convienient for you instead of stopping to take interest in what someone has to say and ask further what they mean instead of assuming it's what you think. Who knows they just might have an idea that would work. Oh well good luck to you.

You wanted to go somewhere else. I never claimed exactly because you never said exactly, but you made clear that you could not have fun in a group that wasn't making your quota of xp.

I'd be very interested to join your guild. I'm still weak and new to the world, but what better way to learn its ways then to be guilded with some fellow Trykers!

I'll send out a shout when I never awake in the world.
