Different question same answer as the last poll here.

There are not 10 ways to deal damage to be boosted, there's only one to be lowered:

Elemental missiles.

that was my point here
the vamp stanza costs so much to credit in a spell that you use the same amount of hps to credit it as you could possibly leech...

I'm not sure you understood how vamp and paying for stanza costs works.
Either that, or I've been wrong a year long
Ok..I'll break it down for you.

Vamp 2 costs 80.
Credit Life 15 is worth 80 and takes 100hp off you.
If Vamp 2 works, you get 100hp back

Therefore you get a spell base that costs you nothing..but does an extra 100hp damage to whatever you hit (this is the part where i might be wrong - not sure if you get the 100 direct from the mob..or out of the damage of your original spell).

ok..I'll start again (Jool confused).

If i have acid 5 in a spell and it does 200 damage...will i do 300 damage if i add vamp 2 to that action OR do i 'earn' 100 of the original 200. If it's the latter then i withdraw my previous comments.

I'm pretty sure Vamp adds no damage, and comes out of your normal damage.

There's a good use for vamp for soloing fighters not using their mana -- open each fight with it for a little less downtime from HP/stam regen.

Vamp does not add extra damage, it lets you leech the hp from the victim, should the spell hit succesfully.

I concede defeat. I've tested it and i've come to the conclusion that the spell is a load of old bodocs.
