I had a great month or two in mossy scarp (CoI) if i hadn't harvested there probably would never have spent anytime there at all.. there are lots of unique things going on that u only tend to notice if u spent a lot of time in an area. For instance there is a great spot in Knot of Dementia where a group of kipesta sit up on a hill, surveying their little area. every now and again though one will come down off the hill and do a quick scout all the way around it.. woe to any timari or napping harvester thats near by =) It's seeing the little things like this (our living world) that go a long way to stop me getting bored and provide the 'content' that some are so desperate for ;)
I have seen these things too guys, i just did it in a different way. I saw these things as a melee not a digger. I dont think i have missed out of looking at the game and the little things that make it tick, i saw it in a different way :)

i know you have, and i'm glad u have :D but wanted to point out for others reading that just moving to a high level digging area when low level may not be the best plan. can add a few more reasons to the list, but as Petej said missing 90% of the game is the biggest one still.

Speaking from a PR perspective its a little stange to be harvesting in elusive forest (q200 area) and seeing new PR diggers ripping out the supreme mats at a max q of 60 or 70.. it strikes me as an awful waste of very scarce resources, especially as there are two q150 areas either side of EF, with probably less diggers in either. Also mobs will be much higher level and generally harder to deal with so it's just avoidable pain.

I guess i am just a believer in using my skills in an area they are suited to. now and again i'm in a team using my sub 150 melee skills in void but its not that much fun to get parried 9 times out of 10. much more entertaining for me is to goto HoP or RW and actaully make a difference in the fight.. oops offtopic sorry sorry ;)

Hey, I resemble that remark. ;)

I just wanted to comment that less diggers(/homins) in an area is not always a good thing (rez plz, lol). And I actually find EF safer. Any mob while your harvesting is bad news, and I found the voraxes in the q150 area more threatening than the mobs in EF.

The risk of missing some really neat content is still a very good reason to try those areas though.

Oh, and I'm happy to say I can rip supremes at q110 now. :D

yeah the vorax's in the 150 zones are nasty, but good practice for when u have 2 move 2 wastelands lol.

and didnt mean to offend i am guilty of doing this. i still remember my very first time diggin in pr. had spent a few hours racking up dp trying to sneak past the kinch guarding portals in ToT. found a spot and dug as i recall 4 x q40 supreme yana node. was maybe my most exciting day harvesting, went to sleep dreaming of how much i could sell them for in town hehe _)
