2484 Region of Fleeting Garden explored, Lenardi Bravichi begins work to cultivate roots to form a natural barrier with Majestic Garden border against possible kitin attacks.
2485 Kami intervention in Fleeting Garden to prevent Matis manipulation of nature, great barrier works abandoned.
"they are against Karavan development on Atys. The reason being that their machines irratte the wild fauna of the planet."
Really, i took the time to observe the plant life about these machines, I am no botonist but the plant life seems to be as healthy and vibrant as any other area on Atys. It would seem that doctrine is more to disuade homins from using the endless versatility and usefulness of such items, thus mere propaganda. After all i know of this extract 'Karavan taught homins the technology and science that enabled the construction of their civilizations.'
"I find it amazing that Karavan supporters seem to always suggest that the Kitin are a Kami caused problem."
Kami goal 'To retain an equilibrium between flora and fauna and hence preserve their habitat.' you say 'The truth is that the Kitin are of Atys.'
Thus the kitin are protected by the Kami, or was the great swarming an oversight by the Kami. And According to known history both Kami and Karavan assisted the refugees, but it was the Karavan that eliminated the kitin threat i refer you to the 'historical amber cube': http://ryzom.com/?page=lore_story_timeline#2481-2483

"The Kamis have been placed on Atys to watch over the planet and defend it against anyone who might threaten to break its natural balance. "
What more can I say.... they are both false prophets, they are here for their own benefit or for the benefit of others that remain hidden.
They have one goal, to divide Homin kind.
Mark my words.

Re: The Gathering Storm
I'm still not seeing where it says the Kami are against homin development. It says the Kami stopped the Karavan from manipulating nature. Matis are known for their ability to genetically alter things. The Kami are against genetic manipulation of nature, hence the reason why they stepped in. If the Matis used the materials of Atys without messing with them, the Kami would not have stepped in.tylarth wrote:In answer to your claims:

That's right, your not a botonist. Nor do you have the capibility to understand if the plants and creatures are affected by the Karavan equipment. Just because you can't see the effects does not mean the effects don't exist. For example if you were to walk down the street could you tell simply by looking at people who has heartburn? Of course not, but they still have the pain from it.Really, i took the time to observe the plant life about these machines, I am no botonist but the plant life seems to be as healthy and vibrant as any other area on Atys.

First of all the only reason why the Kitin came after Homins is because the Fyros walked into a nest of them. Not only walked into a nest of them but tried to kill them. If something walked into your town in game and started killing homins, you can bet there would be a reaction. The Kitin saw the Homins as a threat (and rightfully so) and they tried to get rid of us.
Now does that mean that the Kitin should be exterminated from Atys? No. Remember Atys is a plant. Plants usually survive only if there are insects to polinate them and to keep disease away. Killing all of the Kitin might very well kill Atys.
So back to your responce. The Kami protect Atys. Kitin are of Atys. So therefore the Kami protect the Kitin. I agree with this statement. What I don't agree with is the implication that the Kami protect all Kitin at the expense of homins. The Kami do protect all Kitin. To prove this all you have to do is visit and Kami representive and they will ask you to either kill a certain number of Kitin or get some Kitin morsals.

Re: The Gathering Storm
Homins aren't of Atys either by Karavan lore. It was the Dragon that brought Hominkind to Atys. It was the Dragon that trying to cover Atys in Darkness. It was Jena that set the Dragon ablaze which made it take refuge into the Core of Atys.
((OOC to back up my outrages story some lore))
This does not mean I trust the Karavan, I trust Jena. The Karavan are yet to prove themselves truely worthy, they keep to many secrets.
As for the Kami, they are of Atys, they know every inch of Atys. Including the Kitin inhabited inches. They have there secrets and I bet they have alot more then the Karavan does!

Dear Tidings,
As an avid reader of your newsletter, I would like to say, thank you for your informative and important news! You really seem to have the scoops on the recent unrest on Atys. Kudos to your reporters!
I was wondering if you also have written up an authoritative account of exactly what the Guild of Elias had to say. The extent accounts appear to be fragmentary and occasionally contradictory. The views of Elias Tryton are of interest to many homins and having the official declarations of his guild would be very valuable. Let us know what your diligent reporters are able to dig up!
Thanks again for the excellent reporting!
Sincerely,

Re: The Gathering Storm
There is no need for this war.
The Kami and the Karavan can fight it out without splilling homin blood.
There are vast and open places on atys where no other thing need be harmed in thier conflict.
We are being used as fodder, our blood will be oil for the machines of war.
Inhabitants of Zora, ask yourselves, what have the Kami done for you to command your loyalty? Those of Yrkanis, why must the followers of the Kami die?
We have read about ancient wrongs perpetrated between the factions, but none of us were alive to witness them. They are stories manipulated to incite hatred.
We will be the only weapons, and we will be the only victims. We will not see Karavan bodies broken on the fields of conflict. Kami limbs will not be mamed and rendered useless.

We do not have to fight it.

Re: The Gathering Storm
So the plot thickens, and we now know what the Kami and Karavan think of the prouncements of the mysterious Guild of Elias. The Zorai government too, have made their position clear and it is certain that the the other Homin nations will not be far behind in making official statements.
Homins can only wait on developments - is Jena really coming? In every bar and at every street corner, speculation runs rife as we wait for the strange calm over Atys to be shattered for ever.

Re: The Gathering Storm
I concur with Neun. Things aren't adding up. I feel that the kami and the karavan have alterer motives. If we war among ourselves on behalve of these supposed "gods", spilling our on blood and sacrificing the lives of bravest warriors, we will be weakened and open to a kitin invasion or worse. Now is the time to throw off the shackles of the kami and the karavan and all of us come together; Tryker, Fyros, Matis and Zorai united as one homin kind against any that would oppress us or cause division amongst us.
mrshad is right. If the karavan have a vendetta against the kami, let the karavan and the kami fight it out in the middle of the desert or the roots.

Re: The Gathering Storm
Learning from the past mistakes of Hominkind, is something that seems to have escaped the wisest sages.
Before the Kitin came, all races sort to build their own place on Atys. As they grew stronger and more powerful they sort to control the other lands and as felt that it was their right as a strong Nation to conquer other 'lesser' races. They laid claim to parts of the other races lands and even more horrifically, enslaved the fellow homins.
Then came the Kitin, the divide Homin people tried to halt the threat. They failed, the kitin had the advantage. They worked as one and tore though hominkind. Without the help of the Kami, the Karavan and Elias Tryton our peoples would have been destroyed. Not because they were weaker than the enemy, but divided they could never win against a united foe.
I have mused alot about this subject. Did the Kami and the Karavan see a new way to gain complete control for themselves or was this always the plan.
We may have been brought to Atys, it may not be our lands or origin. However Atys is now our home, we have no where else to go.
We have returned from our place of hiding, we returned as refugees. The few survives of the Kitin war have helped us rebuild and grow stronger.
Now we are strong, is it destined the we repeat the errors of our fathers' father. Will our wise leaders seek to divide us under a banner of a false prophet that has not told us of their true intention.
I have not seen the Karavan themselves talk of the comming of Jena.
I have not heard the voice of the Kami in my mind warn me of inpending doom and distruction.
But from the mouths of homins, some I trust and others who I trust less, talk of attacking first, in defence!
Will hominkind once again fall, will all we have worked hard for crumble in ruins to satisfy the blood lust of our leaders.
I have not bone to pick with this generation of Matis, Fryos or Zoria. I have welcomed them all into my home as they have welcomed me.
Nothing has convinced me that the Karavan are evil and Jena is a god.
Nothing has convinced me that the Kami are evil and Ma'duk is a god.
They may wish to fight amongst themselves for more control over Atys, but they have failed to see that it is not truely either of them that are in control of the lands. Free-spirted homins have built the cities with their own hands. Don't misunderstand me, we didn't do it alone. The Kami and the Karavan may have assisted and sometimes hindered, but if I care for a source while you dig, does that make me a God?
If we have to choose a side, and not to chose is to have the choice made for you, lets be sure that all the choices are clear to homins of all races.
You can choose to be Neutral, to take no part. To stand idol and watch you fellow homins fall and die.
You can choose to rally to the battle cries of the Sages of the Kami and take up arms to slay in cold blood the followers of the Karavan.
You can choose to rally to the battle cries of the Sages of the Karavan and take up arms to slay in cold blood the followers of the Kami.
However, there is a fourth way. Another choice! Heed the words of the Guild of Elias, not to join them or follow them, but to take into your heart the words they say.
They were persecuted by both followers of the Kami and the Karavan for their beliefs, so yes they may have an axe to grind with both.
However they warned of a coming threat, be it Jena or some other invader adopting her name. The threat has be reveiled.
I will not tell you which side to choose. I will not ask you to choose a given way. The choice as it always is in a free society, YOUR CHOICE!
I know I have made my choice, I have always followed a straight and true path.
For me the choice was a simple one, though it took a long time to be sure.
I have chosen the fourth way. I stand for and by my fellow homins. Be your skin blue, be you tall and thin, be you tanned by the desert sun with fire in you blood. To me you are one, a homin, a survive of the great war.
I will not raise my sword to attack those who chose a different path. I will not seek to gain control of the lands of my fellow homins. However understand me, I will not stand idol, I will not let an aggressor with ANY banner take away my freedom, I will not be a slave. Strike at me and I will strike you down. Should you be stronger than me another will take my place. I am not alone in my beliefs. Even if one side is victorious, enjoy you victory and repetion of pass mistakes. It will be a short lived one, for one day from the ash other free-spirted Homins will rise.
Until the errors of the past are learned from, there will always be war of somekind. For greed for power and control, breeds wars.
I stand for hominkind, for equality, the right to be free.
Seek out and find in your heart what you beleive and follow that path.
There is no right or wrong choice. There is only choice itself. For without choice there is no point in living.
I will say no more on this subject this day, I need to seek more information on the coming threats to the homins.
