Many of these have been suggested long, long ago (as in last year). They still have yet to do anything with it. It's why I used to spend large amounts of time building my fame levels and finally gave up.

Yes I know. I was jsut pointing out that you can't always get missions from all of the tribe welcomers :D

There are no kami/karavan rites atm (i think there was one karavan in yrk on ATS, but fame limit was disabled there - more ppl can test it), so maybe 34 global is not true in this case. We will see...[snip]
hmm, true although i havent seen any kami/kara rites, but was only testing zorai ones on ats..

hmm, dont know if i agree.. went i started playing (September) there was talk of the difference races having unique abilities/access to skills but this has fallen by the wayside. I would say its nice that you can be anything and everything in the game (mage, tank, digger, etc) that is one of its strengths but that means there are so few differences between us. For me it would be preferable if for example the lv125 ele spells were race specific.. but i'm derailing my own thread here :p

That doesn't seem right. The Tryker racial modifier for Ancient Dryads is -66 and (until my guild fame started moving), they never attacked me. My guild (mostly Matis) started attacking them intentionally and the guild modifier became -20. *Now* they attack me.

I know what you mean. More diversity will be nice. In current state balance between races is perfect, cos everyone can get same spells (not talking about other balance like melee/elem or ranged vs everything else, thats other discusion made many times on this forum). However many other mmo(rpg)s have good or perfect balance between races or classes, so there is no reason to not have it in ryzom.
They are starting to make race specific auras as reward for rite missions (water aura, lightning aura... - only one working atm), but everyone can have 34 global with any race and get those. Current "race specific" spells (poison, fire...) are more area specific. As matis i use fire in desert, cos it works beter there (makes more dmg - avarage).

Othere thing i forget to say in first post is that there is one other thing i don't get. Kami/Karavan fame. They are both supporting homins (in one way or another). If i take "kill bandits" missions from kami welcomer, i lose karavan fame and get kami. Karavan welcomer will offer me to kill same bandits (maybe not always same, but bandits are bandits) and i'll gain karavan and lose kami fame. Why everything that gives karavan fame drops kami fame? They must have something in common. Why i can't be really neutral (thats why i always write "neutral")? I guess sinds Nexus event neutrality is becoming less and less an option. New kami/Karavan troopers will make things worse. This polarisation may be good for roll-playing. Or not (if you RP an neutral or "i hate them both" character). I have feeling that i'm losing my "neutral" way of playing every day. I'm still trying tho.

Maybe with high enough fame mertchants willl charge you less. If you got 100+ fame they might give you free Npc items or pay you to only use their items.

As for the fans, maybe they can carry your stuff and rez you if you die. : )

To bring more confusion?
When was that event? If you are talking about kami/karavan PvP thing last sunday night (not my playing time) i don't see how that helps "neutrality". If the event was before, i was probably grinding every harvest/craft on Atys in order to make crafting rite missions. Is there a thread in this forum that will clear my lack of knowledge about "summoned" Elias?

The price you get for items you sell to an NPC is modified by your fame.
If I sell an item to a Tryker merchant or hawker I normally get 1 dapper less than the base price (Fame 100). If try the same with a Zorai merchant (Fame 0) I get much less than the base price, I guess it was only 60% of the base price, but I have to check it this evening, with my new fame scores.

And if I remember correctly, the prices for mounts and packer are modified by your fame score, too.
