I, for one, think it would be a wonderful change! Having to actually stalk a prey! I've reached the point anything other than grinding has appeal...even if it involves DP :P

Viva la grouse hunt!

Some of the descriptions of the herbivores say that they're very timid and will run away at any sign of danger. I would like to see a more realistic ecosystem too. It would be a lot of fun.

Homins don't seem to be considered danger to herbivores. I wonder why =P

As for running away mobs. It would just create another tention between the melees and the nukers as magic users will have it much easier.

The idea is nice, but i think the world is to small for such.

Some more AI to existing named bosses could make some more fun. Like if Slucer is not just attacking, but also runs away to follow you in an safe distance just to attack again when he thinks its his chance. Such could be trigered with the damage that impacts him within the first x seconds of a fight. He could recognice if you are strong or weak. Up on this he could have different methods to hunt you down or even to flee from a group of uber nukers to save his life. In case of running away he also could try to reach other Torbacks to get a back up.

Higher lvl homins are herbivore's best friends (excluding armas). They just kill Najabs, Kinchers, Ocyxes, Jugulas and other carnivores :)

Carnivours run!

I personally think this is an example of 'Sod's Law', but I find that the more mobile named mobs seem to run away from me now when I want to hunt them.

A Ryzom fact, is only a fact till someone proves it to be a myth.

I've also noticed that on small critters, like sprightly yubos in cities of intuition, as sometimes i spot a litle train of about 6 and if i start to kill one of them the others bolt away, making it somewhat more dificult to complete the dreaded q40 yubo meat missions. So, bottom line, its already ingame, but only for some mobs. Anyhow, i don't think herbivores don't fear hominkind yet cause atys is still very much untouched, unlike the rl counterpart, where there are few places without man's presence.

I think this is a great idea and would imitate life more :)

In every conflict on earth there are 2 options: Fight or Flee.

If you attack a yubo i personally think it should flee, it will know that its own attack isnt that great so should run away.

We get the option to flee as homins, how many times have you stood to fight the Kitin Patrols of PR compared to how many times you have legged it? Maybe our herbivores should have a flee option too?
