So why don't we as players start to create some conflict? At one time a group tired to take over the Nexus, why not try that sort of thing again?

I've been trying to get to the Nexus... solo for a while. I am game to do this... only and Archmage. I support the idea to create a confilct... get things rolling.

Because 90% of the time when I am there I am the only one!!! There are ocassionally 2 or 3 others that are allied, and the other 5% of the time it is a group passing through. :P Besides, it is less aggro intense to get sups in Roots!

Noin.

Ok, here is the way I see things in the game currently. Right now the races, factions, religions, and even guilds have very little meaning to them. Because of this there is very little conflict and the main struggle against homins are the animals we kill. Seems pretty stupid that one of our biggest foes are yubos.

Lets be honest here, how can we have a conflict over the Nexus if their isn't 2 opposing groups fighting over it for a reason? So I'm suggesting that we as players make a stong effort to start to build opposing sides. Not only to have battles over a place like the nexus, but also so that when outposts do get put in there is a lot of hostility in the air that will make people want to fight over them.

Now the question is how do we setup opposing groups? Well we can use the Kami/Karavan conflict. We can also come up with something like the Fryos are trying to get control over the Nexus due to the massive amount of resources the Matis have stole from the desert (in turn causes low Kami tolerance). The actual sides don't matter, what matters is that an environment be built in which one group would want to oppose another.

YES to the idea of creating conflict.

Perhaps Fyros and Zorai should have a standing event time to "close down PR to the Karavans who shouldn't be there anyway".

Perhaps Haddo could sell his jewells in the winning sides town only?

Perhaps the devs could put a nice constant mats source smack in the middle of the Arena. An easy place to get to and fight over any time you like! Now there would be some competition for that source! PR sources are just too hard to bother with anyway, you just would feel sorry for any poor harvester that manages to get one.

I know I just responded to your post, but I have another question. I am in full support of this idea, and want to participate. Something that I have noticed is that there are only a few guilds that have enough active players to be of any significance in this conflict. My guild for example, when I log... there are to most 5-8 other people logged on at the same time... it's pittiful. But I know that I'm not alone as I have heard many other people complain of guild depreciation. Eye of Atys for example... had renound members like Gandolf, and Braveheart, Rhae, Rynn, Khayne, etc...etc... who are no longer playing. (from what I know)/.... its been up to Braveganzar to start recruiting an entire guild member base for EoA....

Should there be some kind of large guild merges, or alliances so the thought of fighting over the Nexus or outposts is even concievable?

just thinking out loud....
