I wonder if any of Monty Python's lawyers play SoR...?

Just kidding, well paraphrased :)

Oh, and has anyone got any q120 Supreme Enola Sap and Saurona Seeds? I only need a few of each...

I tend to store small amounts (few stacks) of mats at mercs as available storage space is really low. I'll buy those back when I have got other required mats for crafting or I have got some more room in mek/app/gh.

Currently doing spring clean to fix this. I do not use merchants for teleporting mats though, I tend to get em back from same stableboy as I used to sold em.

I tend to use prices that I see as affordable if someone really requires those more than me. Maybe for finishing of last piece of armor set, maybe getting some mat that is out of season or right color.

I tend to use 1000%+, 2000%+ or 3000%+ depending of grade of materials stored. 3000% being pr excels and supremes.

I do not know if homins like this or not. This might be seen as luring an unsuspecting buyer to accidentally buy stack of mats for couple of millions. Or this might be seen as usable service to get some mats in small quantities (though expensive).

If general concensus is negative about this, I won't do it anymore and use max prices if I really have to store something.

There should be no hawkers in pr....

Also, second opinion about filters at merchants. Use those, you willl see more mats that you are interested in as merchant shows only certain number of matching items.

If you are grinding, set max price to your liking and select mat type and buy all. Very easy.

Only problem is that some bought out items seem to hang at merchants showing quantity or price as 0. Very annoying.

money is currently easy to come by, through mats, and mostly only spent... on mats.
also, while a large enough percentage of players are already in a guild, there's no reason to sell the mats, because if you're not crafting, someone else in the guild is. also, if you do want to sell things, you'll soon find that... there's no room to. you have to be pretty selective.
now supreme... I don't know why you'd expect to find that in a public store.

teleporting packer bug? I would be pissed off if they stopped you from being able to teleport each new packer once. inventory is such a horrible inconvenience as it is. bulk is always the problem. why do stacks of items not reduce bulk? that would make sense. a more organized inventory should take up less room. people should also be able to pay the price for better inventory management. Currently EVERYTHING is teleporters and personal inventory, with the only exception being crafting while at the stables. While at a certain point teleporter ticket costs are no longer a problem, it is DAMNED inconvenient inventory management.
although at this point... really, I don't expect it to be resolved. they have bugs and features to implement, and I wouldn't expect good inventory management within the next year.

Thing is with the storing mats thing, its not just exc and sup mats. I keep seeing choice and fine sitting in the shops (q120-ish) for ridiculous prices. And they sit there for days.

6mil is not an acceptable price for 99 fine q120 ambers. (yes I almost bought them on accident)

People using the merchants as storage is more than annoying. I'd name names, but I'm sure we all already know who the constant offenders are.

As useless as I'm sure this will be I'll ask anyhow. Can people please stop doing this. The merchants isn't your personal storage space.

Tbh I dont care much about this as long I usually have all my meks in a safe place and I can run easily at them.
Two days ago I've found in Thessos, at raw mats merchant, q130 supreme PR oath bark. Whoaa.... exactly what I've need! And not 1 piece, not 99... no less than 12 stacks x 99 pieces. LOL. I clicked on the first one... and surprise: you dont have enough money. WTF? I usually have 20-25 mills on me. Well... a single piece of bark was 180 mills.
LOL. I'm telling you, in that moment I was so frustrated than I would've bought the entire quantity. I was only in need of 18 :(
After that, I decided to set my filters properly. The min/max price is 100/3500 so at least I don't see mats I can't afford to buy.

Looking at it as bug/exploit.... I don't mind. Are players better than me who are using it. Even if I don't use it now, is nothing that can guarantee I won't use it in future.
And I don't see it as an exploit. If you go to a shop (irl) and try to place some goods for sale, the owner will get a profit when he sells the items. If after 1 day you change your mind, you can go to that shop and get the goods back. Is simple as that.

PS And to Jyudas: how can you talk about love of God? :P

Okee, so say I am digging in Loria (and we all know there is no working teleporter there) and I fill my bag, walk to the hawker, sell my stuff to him heavily overpriced, only to buy it from the stableboy that very same day... That is good? Like it would be compensating for the fact that the ql250 area in Tryker is quite inaccessible? So not storing, just teleporting... Would like some opinions there...

Possible exploit in my opinion is teleportation of mats by selling them to a hawker and getting those back from stableboy when crafting. This saves digger from much running trough dangerous areas (e.g. pvp pr areas full of mad random pk nukers ;) and helps him to dig much more mats than he could dig otherwise.

Storing mats at merchants is just annoying.

Mats should be retrievable only trough same merchant that bought the mats first place. Also, there should be some fee associated e.g. 25% when retrieving materials back to cover merchants expenses. Should be quite easy to implement, I think. I'll write a ticket about this, although somone must have suggested it earlier :)

Pleas at forums does not stop this behaviour, I fear.

I think you should lose a decent % of your asking price when you buy back anything you put up for sale. That'd do the trick :P
