Sorry Flora but you are wrong here... Nevrax has 4 month to reorganize his financial state, make a business plan AND convince his creditors that he will be able to pay his debts. So Nevrax doesn't have to pay its debt for 4 month, but after that, there is no more patience UNLESS the creditors accept the new financial plan. If they say no, even the judges cannot save Nevrax. So the situation is quite bad. By the way the judges give this possibility most of the times to the firms, since its better to everyone if the the debts are payed.
But iI don't think SoR can be saved now... Not because I don't like SoR, but all these promises they broke... and where are the outposts anyway! It should be already on ATS!!!
And for your intention I'm a lawyer. Just to prevent flaming me I don't know anything about these things.

They can get a second observation period though can't they under french law?
Edit: It is limited to six months, renewable once, exceptionally it can be extended for a new duration not exceeding eight month at the request of the Public prosecutor.

Sorry, euhr, but it works the other way around, first they get a few days, sometimes weeks to come up with a new business plan (depending on the size of the company), and then they get protection. A judge ain't gonne wait 4 months for a company to come up with something (and its not just 4 months but its from 4 to 20 months). When a company is in trouble, in 4 months or more, you can get in dept even more, so the court doesn't risk that.
To say it in simple terms: Nevrax could not pay its bills, so they started to make a new business plan. The nevrax management went to the court asking for protection against these depts. And, apparently, they convinced the judge they will be able to pay off all thier bills once the plan is fully operational.
I used to play an mmo of wich the company went bankrupt, and the signs are totaly different: Development came to a halt (meaning not a single patch or update for months), no communication, no support, insane lag (cut down on thier bandwidth), devs suddenly saying goodbye, ... As long as we see gm's from Jolt around, I think we dont have to worry.

UserID's hide a multitude of things ..... wonder how many Managing Directors are hiding under a semi random collection of letter.
Best we not try to predict the future, for our actions and words just might make it real.
All the player base are concerned and worried about the future of this game, as would the WoW community or the EQ2 community if a similar situation happened to them.
All we really will ever know is that when we can log in we can play, when we can't we won't.
The real world won't end because of it, it just might be a little different.
The community and the game has given me so much fun and heartache.
I will enjoy it while it lasts .... I will always have my memories, they can never be taken away.
David - cares more about this project than all of us put together, its HIS baby after all. He is not going to give up on it without a fight, you can see that in the words he uses and from his interview.
Someone, with a dream, can overcome all obstacles!
I he wants the project to work as badly as he says .... It will work.

Suggesting an idea is one thing, expecting everyone to agree and accept your initial ideas without question is a little presumptious

I don't want to shoot you down or anything, but that isn't the way these things work. I have ideas every day in my job, some of them are great, some of them are useless. I don't expect my boss to accept them all, in fact I expect him to try and pick as many holes as possible. If, in the end, the idea remains intact, it
may be used. And it may not.
Have you actually read the post? Moulinneuf isn't asking you to agree, or saying you shouldn't have a different point of view. Rather, Moulinneuf is concerned about the future of the game and trying to generate ideas.
There is no harm in floating ideas. At no point has Moulinneuf been presumptious and expected people to accept them. Read the bit I quoted, Moulinneuf expected people to disagree.
Get off his case mate and be a bit more constructive.

All I see is that you're accussing someone of saying something other than what was said...

No matter how much I like the game, if you dont mind, I answer no to all your question.
But like other person said in the forum i'll open a new account and pay in advance for 1 year like I did with this account. That is a good sugestion, and I'll follow it.
Unfortunatelly all you sugested takes money in advance to be started, not only to be maintained.
And in final, if Nevax will reach the bottom of the money bag no matter our efforts, wont be the first or last one company in this situation. There are plenty of others MMORPG's waiting for us on the net.

From start to finish, and guess what - I re-read the linked posts too, did you? I suggest you do.
These ideas have already been put forward, discussed, and dismissed. So why the summary post presenting them again? I took this thread as 'look I've already posted my ideas, why is the game still in trouble?'
I'm all for new suggestions - I wish I had some myself. But I don't - at least, nothing that is workable and would genuinely help out in the current situation. Try reading the first linked post, and check Sky's reaction. The reason given is the exact reason for the tone of my reply.
Saying all that, if the poster feels my reply was out of line, I apologise wholeheartedly. There was no malice or insult intended or contained in my post, it was merely intended as a 'reality check', in response to the same ideas being put forward when they had already been discussed.

Read them first time round.

Interesting that, I took the thread as "I've tried to suggest ideas, people may not agree, if not perhaps they can suggest their own ideas".
Whereas I took yours as having a go about something they hadn't said. Different people read things different ways.

So what if the ideas aren't totally original, at least they care enough about the future of the game to put forward suggestions, even ones that might not work.
Try reading the first post on each thread again. Particularly the last sentence. Each time Moulinneuf is asking for other people's opinions/thoughts on the suggestion, not trying to force their opinion on people.

Like I said, not the way I read it mate. Always difficult with forum posts/chat messages. No tone of voice or facial expression to help indicate the true intention. You can only take the written word at face value.
Maybe I just read it the wrong way.

err... just a suggestion. Just come in my mind.
Dont you think that a brand new player who's still in trial coming here to read the forums would be frightened of such posts? Maybe a way to limit "trial player" access to certain areas would help...
