Before the merge the game was getting quite boring for me!

I was walking into teams all over the place. Before you'd struggle to find one for hours / days!

Much more homins, much more fun!

Something I noted too is that the spots merged too. I found about double the number of spots then I normally do.

I just realized it is possible that the amount of mats is linked to the amount of players on a server. That *does* make some sense, actually...

Now when you say it... was wondering a little why i pulled 80 mats per spot yesterday

I give the merger two thumbs up.

The biggest concern of the merger, next to people loosing toons or items in their inventories, and especially from us north americans was lag. My ping went from 150 to 200 on the Windermeer server to between 250 and 300 spiking to 400 and 450 occasionally on the new merged server, but I encountered no lag from what I could tell. I played from roughly 6:00am est to 8:00pm est. The only time there was any noticeable lag was right before the server stalled and crashed yesterday. That was the only problem I encountered the whole day.

The server is certainly more interesting and populated. I passed through Dyron in Fyros several times on Tuesday, and I don't think the region population ever dropped below 20 to 25 peeps. The same can be said for Yrkanis in Matis and Magestic Gardens as I don't think the population in region dropped below 25 peeps either the whole time I was on. One thing I noticed was on the NA server you could trek for awhile across one of the race lands maybe encountering 1 or 2 people, but now, you are almost guaranteed to run into any number of people. At TB in KoD where you might find only 2 to 4 peeps digging at most at one time, I was happy to always have company digging. In fact, the place was crawling with so many harvesters at one point I fell off my mount as it stepped in one of the holes.

I met lots of interesting people and look forward to meeting more people especially at the party this weekend in Windermeer. I forsee an Atysian babyboom to be talked of for some time to come.

I am so impressed with all the people now.

It was almost like being on the ATS sometimes, unless it was a guild member sometimes didn't see anyone.

We teamed with some new people last night. and had a blast. It is great seeing new names and faces. I am so glad this merge has taken place. Think it will be great. Now maybe more people will come.

Makes Ryzom seem alive.
