Weeee, more sp to waste :D
You are missing his point here. The intention was to BUY food with dappers, not to add another skill. And that was meant to increase the currency value.
I totally agree with his (random44) point, but what comes in my mind is: where should we store the food? In our tiny inventory? I'm already full with my tp tickets, harvesting armor, casting armor, melee armor, weapons, tools. I'm walking around like a caravn with 2 meks behind my back.

The idea that dappers have no worth is simply a ridiculous notion to me. There are consumable items in the game already: notably, HP jewelry & light armor. On the horizon, there will be the necessity for guilds to equip and maintain their outpost defenses.

A test for dappers' worth: Place an item that people are eager to buy on the market... at a price higher than they expected to pay... and set up a decibel meter for the ensuing squeals of outrage.

I don't know your style of play, Keoni, but I really find dappers way too easy to made. And I'm a low level (less than 100) in all exept harvesting. I do even provide my new guild-mates with money for meks / mounts. And do not "sell to players" only to NPC's. I find "selling to players" useless as long as my crafting quality is less than 100.

If you spend your time leveling melee and don't quarter at all, if you level magic and don't quarter, if you are healer in a group, if you buy mats from merchants to level in crafting you sure have a hard time making a dime.

Why? Low level players need armors too, you know. Just make them inexpensive and build a name as an armorer.

And about the high price... When an item is placed with the merchants that is rare, the basic market principles kick in. Why not charge a lot? If not sold in a few days, lower the price, simple as that.

People complaining about prices can do several things:
- dont buy the item
- note the name of the crafter and haggle, he might take it out and sell it for less
- start lvling that skill and sell for less, people will buy your items :-) .
- See if there is a crafter in guild that is willing to sell or craft for a guildie.

But shouting at someone for pricing of an item makes a buyer a victim. And who wants to be a victim :D

Atm. dappers are really easy to make. But what will happen when the DP tickets will be available ? Nobody knows, but the NPC guards for outpost probably want to get payed ??

In my toughts, dappers value is fine.

They could let us buy improvements of our apartment at high prices for example if you want a goal for collet a lot of dappers.
