So do I believe people are playing from USA on EE server?
Not unless somehow they were given a special IP address that the login server liked that allowed them to create an account, or they got lucky and there was a complete fluke in server selection.
I tried both ways.
There are a few US based players on the EE server atm, they decided to join our community from the start of their subscription. Whats so strange about that ?

Whats strange about it is that none of the EE servers show up in my server selection list, either from a new account or my existing one, thats whats strange.
In the very very very begining all the shards were open, for US based players to choose, but not right now.

If i remember correctly when the servers were all in europe i never had troubles with lag. I think they were all in one place at one time from what I remember. I think in UK or somewhere. I dont think lag will be to much trouble.

i know of at least 3 ppl who live in europe that play on the na server, they bought the na box. so the na player playing on the ee server must have bought the ee box
There was no fixed server to the Ryzom box .... you selected the server as account registraction

Well, there you have it folks, everyone worried about lag, just do as all these people are suggesting, might work for you although it didn't work for me, create a new account for the 14 day trial and choose the EE server at account creation.
Maybe it was just a fluke and I couldn't choose it, look at all these people in the thread that says it works, try it for yourself, and quelch the lag question from your mind

That's really the best suggestion Zum, since lag is based on routing, not geographical location necessarily. Everyone's case will be unique to some degree.
And if you discover there's lag and you're not one who wants to put up with it... Quit. It's just that simple.
I'll be checking in after the merge as my account remains active until the end of April. Maybe I'll get wooed back to the fold, who knows...
