Long overdue, turn our backs for 200 years and look what you do to the place!

(*Little known fact* - Technically, on paper at least, the US reverted to UK rule not much over four years ago.)

It does mean that there will be practically no 'dead time' on our server. Should please our antipodean friends :D

It will be sad to no longer see takashi or cerest around. I never interacted with them a whole lot, but they have always been so helpful. This will definitely be a big change.

You will just have to get an account and start playing w/ us all. We would gladly welcome you ;P

I will especially miss Takashi and Shadowthorn. The customer service for the North American Ryzom server is excellent, and beyond that, they really seemed to like the players and enjoy the game itself. I've never seen any customer service quite like that, in or out of the online gaming context.

If there's any chance they'll be going into customer support in an upcoming or existing MMORPG that I can see myself playing, I'd happily subscribe to it.

If I hadn't paid for a year of this in advance, I am not sure I'd even continue with Ryzom after today's announcement. Nothing against the community on the European server. If anything, the opportunity to become a part of that community would be high on my list of reasons to stay.

However, I am concerned about lag, Nevrax's track record with database management does not inspire my trust, and most of all, I've heard some awful things about Jolt's customer service track record.

Well, we'll see. At least if Nevrax does not wind up deleting out characters, wiping out our guilds, and losing inventory or skills en masse (up until now there've only been the isolated cases) I do look forward to meeting up with and eventually becoming part of the Arispotle community.

Um rmillard that is a bit hasty don't you think. After all it is a French game, and there will be more people on now. We will get to meet up with many of our friends we knew in Beta who are on the server. have to learn to spell it I guess.

I sure would give it a chance.

Looking forward to seeing new faces and to meet new people. that is what online gaming is. people from all over the world. Great news.

yes I will miss our GM's they are the greatest but know a few of the other ones and they are good also.

I am sorry you have had bad luck with Jolt. I have had good luck with them ever since I started in beta 2 without them I would never have gotten into Ryzom in the first place.

hope you give them a chance.

tho yes lag does concern me also.

I've had nothing but good experience with the Jolt Guides. Whether it was me logging a ticket or them helping me with an event. They've been nothing but nice, professional, and helpful.

You'll see. The things you've heard are exagerated.
