Just to get sure. You have really lost connection many times ? Not the mysterious annoying lag with oszilating network we all encounter last days ?

First i would suggest: try to lend another router. Just to be sure that the router is ok. This can save a lot of debugging time.

About the MTU.: Be sure that router an PC use the same one. Long time no debugging on windows. But ther migth be a tool or build in funtion to see and change the MTU.

Ask your ISP for the best to use MTU. Else try 1400, 1412, 1452.. How ever something *below* 1500

Lag's one thing, disconnection is definitely another. I'm certain mate.

You've got more interesting friends than I have then, no-one I know has a spare router.

NTLWorld never have a clue. Checked MTU and that's fine.
