Theres always new people comming to SoR which is always a blessing and a chance to meet new people and make new friends :) i wouldnt say we have a low population just that we have a lot of key players who are wel known like Neun and Sxarlet and Kibs Sky and so on :) and like Neun says most of us are in game having so much fun we dont really have time to post :) Also a lot of people use their guild and in game forums to talk on so this forum doesnt really reflect a lot on the population of the EE server :) imho its the best place to be :) Theres always something going on and some fun to be found if you simply look in the 'Events forum' you'll see EE is the busyist server around for entertainment :) We're a close community and very friendley in game and i find extreamly helpful so no need to be scared we're all lovely really :)

Welcome on EE :)
elyxka wrote: I just started SoR two days ago and, I’m kinda scared. During my 5 hours in Trykers starting zone, I met 2 persons… Now, I just browsed the forums… According to the number of threads/posts, Eu community is by far the smallest… ouch… And, it seems that you are only a few to actually participate.
The starter islands are not too crowded sometimes. Yes, it might be that the german and french servers are more populated. Many like to stay in their language i guess.

You will meet only few players on the forum :) ingame there are a lot more...
elyxka wrote: So, I’m wondering how many people are playing on a regular basis?
Is it easy/hard to group? Is there a lot of activity? Do you feel that you are not alone after the starting zone?
The only time it might happen that you are alone in a region ist early morning. Well, i enjoy this cause all sources then mine :D
You will definitely not be alone on mainland !!
elyxka wrote: TBH, I can play on French server as it seems the community is way bigger. However, it won’t be my first choice and I will do so only if the low population significantly impacts the gameplay.
It does not impact. If you like to play with peoples from all over europe plus some others from australia your are quite right in place. weekdays is always a little less populated then at weekends. Ok, and the weather is getting better now...

Thanks,

Give it a try. Level your prefered skills for some time on starter island, then come over to mainland. You will find any help there you need.

Yer, stick to it, more people on the mainland!

Prehaps we should all have n00b night/weekend.

All start a new character, and spend a weekend on the new islands, to show there is life past yubos and getting killed by gingos.

Tutorial Islands are too numerous. 4 Servers, 4 Races, 4 (or so) villages to start with. If I am not mistaken, that makes grand total of 64 different and more or less isolated starting locations.

You are not likely to meet many homins out there :(

I hope they get this thing fixed.

Hi,

Thanks everyone for your welcoming answer. I feel better but now, I have to face a dilemna...
Following your advice, I created a char just to go to Liberty Lake. I spent 5-10 min running everywhere in the city to find... nobody :/ It was around 8pm CET and a /who revealed 20 ppl approx. I felt... alone.
I logged off, changed shard for the french one and logged back in... to directly bump into 2, 3, 4... ppl in noobzone. /who revealed ~15 ppl and around 40 in Liberty Lake where I saw players too :) (they exist! :p ).
So, as you can imagine, I started a new char on this shard and chat, group, laugh... I felt being part of something. But today, I saw your posts... and came the dilemna...
So I'm going to switch again between shards tonight and settle down where I feel the best.
I'll check forum before chosing in case I'm absolutely wrong and Liberty Lake is not representative.

Thanks again and hope to see you IG

Elyx

I believe there was an event in Matis lands at that time last night; that would explain the emptiness :) Thats one of the bonuses of the EE server; we have sooooo many events ;)

You can only do it in the first week after you sign up. Ie no, people can't come over here from the NA server without making a new account :p

I probably won't be able to understand you brits with your accents anyway.
