6) don't pee in the drinking water

To sum up the event:

Two members of the Zorai appear, one is from a guild that only exists in lore. The one not in the guild says that something amazing has happened, that the guild has found a book that was transcribed by Hoi-Cho after his meeting with Ma-Duk. Then a rep from that guild reads the items. They then proceed to say that we should seek guidance. Being the pain I am I ask if I can have guidance from the Zorai leaders or any group in game. I get a responce that I have to find my own guidance. Then they announce that there will be a celebration to honor the Kami, the fact this book was found, and what is said in it. This was followed by all the players jumping up and doing various things to celebrate. And something I really want to point out:

This included several Karavan loyalists. I know I would celebrate the finding of a book that tells me not to follow or support those who I beleive in.

Of course those people will come up with come redicilous reason why that is ok. I'm pretty sure it will come down to "Just because it's a celebration for something we don't beleive in doesn't me we should join the celebration". Or better yet "We are celebrating the finding of the books, but not what is in them".

Sounds like non-Christians celebrating Christmas doesn't it?

If you come across someone who states they are Buddist, Islamic, Jewish, or just about any other non-christain religion they will not celebrate Christmas.

About 90% of the people in the "west" probably celebrate Christmas, whether they are Christian or not. Especially here in the UK.

There is a difference between someone who doesn't really specify they aren't Christain celebrating Christmas and someone who specifically states they aren't Christain celebrating Christmas.

There were players there who have flat out said they support the Karavan celebrating the finding of a book that tells them not to support the Karavan. If would be like if you had a Satanist celebrating Easter.

Ok guys, please leave all talk about religion out of these forums. It's just too touchy of a subject and doesn't really have any place here. Like the old adage says, "Two things you're never supposed to talk about is religion and politics."

I think most of us can agree here.
