In the end I don't think we will lose many to WoW. Our population may dip for a month or two, but in the end I think most will stay with SoR if they are already a paying customer.

Apparently they banned a whole guild recently for "cheating by evading content" because they dragged a boss mob out of a dungeon or something so they wouldn't have to deal with the lesser mobs there.

I don't know the whole story, but it sounds a little harsh to me...

All I know is that Ryzom has me hooked. I have never yet seen a game where the CSR's respond almost before you've hit 'submit', and the constantly evolving world is great. In fact, my only issue is trying to find the time to do all the stuff I want to, especially now the encyclopedia rites are in.

As some of u said SoR is a specific game - most needed features of players r: patience and an instinct for community play to understand that solo u just might grinding for ages, and also patience surely helps to wait for next upgrades and fixing some annoying bugs which must b e present in so fresh and young product.
I drown in this game, it's atmosphere and ppl that souround me :)
Thanks for it ......

Just another generic fantasy game doing the same things over again, even if it is doing them 'better'.

Ryzom is far more interesting and with the constant changes and alterations coming in and being rebalanced it's interesting and the setting at least shows some effort at imaginging and implementing something new.

I was vaguely interested to look at D&D Online, simply because D&D is the granddaddy that EQ ripped off to start with and because it uses a variant of the tabletop rules. However I don't like Eberron, so no D&D online for me. Pah!

Ryzom it is then :)
Withe all do respect i hope its yor personal opignion "doing things al over again"

Becos i wonder how menny yubo's kipie's and varnix you have kild and how menny howers you have spend in the same spot to get a level. How menny day's / weaks have gone by to level harvest in dyron.

The only good thing about Ryzom is the comunity and the skill system and GFX. Thats the reason its a averedge game.

WoW has kids and is cartoonish i 100% argree. But it has its advantages. It takes you on a trip trugh the world with quests, craft and reward. Its not all bad its eaven fun. If you set yor minde and think ryzom is bether then wow then you cant start to play a game and judge it optimaly.

So i would say tray it but forget about what ppl say and make up yor own minde.

Really Azal, you broke a record. I can't but repeat how much I will miss your horrible, eye-burning spelling and abuse of the english language.

Who may I now laugh about while he is being serious, as it seems to get worse when you get angry?
BUT! Whenever I will play any other MMO, we will meet, as you shine out like a coffeestain on a white dress, 10 minutes before the party starts.

Miss you and happy Valentines Day to you, Azal.

A: My name is not Hans, and I find it pretty rude to make a wild stab at my RL name while we are in a game forum. Don't do that again to prevent loss of the respect I have for you.
B: I know, English is not my first language either.
C: Do I really have to post smilies *everywhere*?

Grtz,
