Im confident in that the Kami ultimately care for the living things, and their acting with punnishment for digging to aggressive is to give us all a lesson that we are here to respect the earth we walk and not abuse it until we destroy ourselves through a polluted and ravaged land. With this dedication to life, I can see no harm in following the Kami ways.
