Why is Tryker so quiet this week?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Players - vote with there feet. Why try and level magic anywhere other than Zorai (land build for Magic users) or try and level fight anywhere other than Fyros.

I know you said the land build makes it easy to lvl magis in zorai can you elaborate on that a little as I'm unsure what you mean (btw I'm not being critical I'm just interested in lvling magic)

If you mean the central zone being devoid of aggro I suppose that does make life very easy but places like umbra and loria are a nightmare for anyone.

thx

Just south of Min Cho .... killing plant Pys-something or other.

2 person team - 1 healer lvl 88 + 1 off magic lvl 120

1.5hrs later

1 healer 101
1 off magic lvl 145

Thats and example.

Not exploiting as the Pys-something or other have ranged magic attacks.

however they do die quickly less the 3 secs a kill for 3k each .... hummmm

seen more people lvl magic there than melee, although I admit sometimes you do need a fool in heavy armour to tank.

Too bad it ends at around lvl 170. At least I haven't found an easy mob after.

Plants are not the fastest to kill there btw. 3 seconds is a bit exagerated. But 10-15 seconds is feasable. (at lvl 145)

So the point is .... once you have all then lands, what I find most people will do it group at the places where its easier to:

1. Get fast XP
2. Stay safe
3. Have a town close by for spawn/trainers/merchants

Therefore people go to Dyron, Theos, Min Cho

Why try to level in a land that takes twice as long to move around in (water), has a high pop of grouping aggro with high respawn rates (gingos/ragus in Matis).

When for 12k you can port to a place (5 min walk now added to Dryon) that allows you to speed level with complete safety and all the facility you need.

In Planetside we had similar issues - NC had insta kill weapons, other factions required skill to play. Pops were around 80/20/20 on average.

I see the same for Ryzom. If you don't start as Fyros, you level or get escorted to there. A quick trip through the newly added short cut and you are in Hunting skill paridise.

Event history. Fyros usually first to complete, Zorai/Matis second and Tryker is usually last. I have to say this is mainly down to the layouts of the lands.

Don't get me wrong. I am Tryker I will always be Tryker! I like to overcome the difficulties, it keeps my interest in the game.

I beleive Tryker would be much more appealing if:

1. I didn't crash to desktop - everytime I ported to FH.
2. I didn't crash evertime I swim north out of FH.
3. I didn't crash evertime I turn on the spot sharply.
4. I didn't have to die to reach the ql250 spots in Tryker.
5. The BB outland was as least semi possible to traverse by steath.
6. we don't need mounts in Tryker cas its faster to travel using TP's

I love my lands, and have stuck with them from the beginning.

On the plus side, once you have a outland 'sussed' they are very very easy. Even crossing Lorai can be done with practice. (BB seems to be the exception to prove the rule.)

I believe Tryker to have the closest bond amongst its people. Well we harvest, someone will always heal you or rez you, regardless of guild. We don't care who you are if you want to team your welcome to join (lvl restrictions excluded).

I hope you can all say the same about your own lands. I love mine and the people in it. If only it could be slightly more stable.

Sky you offer arguement but never share.... such a shame.

2 or 3 casts - so yes 10-15 secs, but you point only ephasises the fact given the choice of RW/Fount or Min Cho. Which would you pick?

the community in the desert is not as bad as people would think from these forums. I've only been refused res once in all my time (and that was becuase the guy was RPing for which I can now forgive, but not forget). I've been ressed even at great danger to the player many a times. I've had a good laugh with many of the players here and lots of newbies I guess feel genuinly surprised when they experience the community here (I in particular like the "what your gonna give me 75k for nothing, are you mad" replys)

maybe I'm living in a fantasy land but it seems any trouble is more between individuals and are blown out of all proportion on the forums.

This warms my heart, I don't spend enough time in the other lands to speak for them .... I speak for my experiences in Tryker.

I have always been warmly welcomed in other lands, I follow the Tryker code where ever I travel. I am neither slave or master, I am Tryker!
