even if they were allowed to tell, they simply *dont know* like us, that is all.
Want an example ?
"When I wield a shield and do 1h fighting, does the shield give me an armor bonus even if I use dodge ? If not, then it only adds up to my penalty right ?"
And poof, cant get an answer cause they don't know... I don't blame them not for knowing, I blame the "Question" support ticket category, what good is it if all you get is "sorry cant tell" "sorry dont know, I'll ask XXX - sorry, XXX doesnt know either :/" "errr, good question actually, which I could help you with that, I'll pass it up"
Remove the Question ticket, or try and get some *real* game mechanisms info from the devs , but as it is right now, this ticket category is useless.
Hope you don't mind me replying to this Dam, have known you for a long time and i usually do agree with you, but...
Erm.. not claming to know all and most certainly don't want to pretend i have an answer for everything, but what if... just what if, that Question Ticket is there not only for the guides to help the players who can't find an answer for their question but also so that the devs can see what are the "things" the players ask about the most or what are the "things" that ppl can't easily find an answer to in game so that the devs can work on the interface concerning that matter or can work on the info about the matter in the "tutorial" at the beginning of the game and make Ryzom an even better game for us all?
This is in terms of a game, a very young one, there are still a lot of things to happen, little and bigger bugs to be sorted, new features to be implemented, some extra balancing of things only could become clear after a few months of running the game (yeah, been in the beta, played this game for long enough to start understand some stuff, lol) i know we want everything to run perfectly, but not sure if we are being realistic about this, i play as long as i can, spend as many time as i can to lvl my skills, help others, explore, chat with my friends, try new features out, i have skipped many nights doing all this and i still feel i didn't do all i needed and all i would have wanted to do, i can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be and how much work it may take for the devs to actually code that stuff, lol.

(didn't sleep yet and it's 11 am, plz escuse me for my very bad choice of words, i did the best i could for now, hehe)
