Ranged need SERIOUS overhaul soon to make it viable as a skill. They recently adjusted crafting mat costs...Tetra...did you check how that patch affected Ammo and gun crafting?
I made one craft of 40 rifle shots after the patch that gave us mounts... didn't see any changes to it and havent bothered with ranged ammo crafting since.

Yeah I know the mounts arnt worth buying but I never did get the eq mount. heh I dont know why they they have to make things needlessly complicated. It is fun to ride though. Since there was no dp last night I tried out the agro pull into the city and that works good.
I pulled gingos from the north side of pyr to crekas gate. they left me and went for anybody that was there.

They go through food fast enough to make the cost differance between tickets and food the same. You spend 10k for a trip to dyron either way and a trip anywhere else forget it. Port itll be cheaper. Who was that idiot that suggested food? Seee its never a good idea. Why dont you suggest a stable fee or grooming fees. The food realy puts the cherry on top of making mounts a joke. And good for nothing but fooling around.

Then theres exploring. lol yeah right. I think Ill take my 550,000 dapper mount and go out to explore in agro infested areas. Yeah thats a good idea. The way they made it take so long to earn dapper. If they cost the same as mounts I would use them but not at about 550,000 k a pop. I think when I get bored with it , should be soon, Ill take it out and explore till its dead. Probley be a short trip. :)

I was very disopointed that you can't fight while you in the mount or anything else, only run and walk. I really hope they add better stuff to do with the mount.

I'm a little confused about some of this mount stuff. They only use food when they run, but not when they walk, correct? Do they walk faster than you run? If they do, they might still be useful in lieu of porting, as you could ride them at a walking pace and still go faster than you would otherwise. If not, I agree they seem pretty useless at the moment.

Three of us in our guild were out doing the final rite mission for the Fairhaven Intendant and decided to jolly off on our mounts. To me (and I'm the one with the slowest access) it went a lot faster that way running around collecting the necessary mats. We loaded up with food since we didn't have to collect a ton of stuff and basically ran everywhere. To me they swim faster than my character does and most certainly run faster across the land. If we hadn't been dumped last night it would have taken us only half an hour to do the mission.

I travel through Aeddan Aquaeous mostly at a walk on land and save the speed for swimming or outrunning agro. The food lasted a week that way (Sat & Sun all day game play; Mon-Fri 4 hours each day).

Oh and my apologies to the Zori I ran over last night outside the Avendale stables - heh - I musta slapped Harrison a little too hard and he got away from me. No harm done I hope. :o
