Magic that is actually useful for my needs?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Or you can use a higher credit. Remember, your Credit Value (right col) has to be equal to or GREATER than your Casting cost (left col). It's ok to go over on credits, in fact, you'll get a difficualty bonus for doing it, which means your sucess rate will go up (to a maximum of 95%)!

Or, just look for a different unrelated spell that gives that credit (like Cold 2) and get that. Problem solved. You'll need Cold or Rot eventually anyway...

I did exactly that and have acid and cold now - cant hurt as some fyros beasts are immune to acid anyway :)

IMHO Fear is the only link spell that works well soloing. By the time the link gets broken by attacking, the mob is already around 40-50m away and can be wounded again without getting that marvelous mage melee damage penalty which I love SO MUCH ;)

So, if you paid 10 sp for a component and you see a full spell to learn for 15 sp, the original cost to learn the whole spell was likely 25 sp.

Basicaly, you only pay for what you don't already have. At least this is what it seems like.

Hope this helps,

Yeah thats right Fitz. If you buy a component you don't ever need to buy it again. The main reason not to buy entire spells and just buy the upgrades and credits it many people don't like buying time credits as they slow down spells too much. I find some time components can be quite handy on healing spells when your either not in much of a rush to cast or you run out of sap.

This would explain some odd spell prices I have had -thanks for clearing this up for me (and clever designed by Nevrax!) :)

Also means you see some odd spells which cost 0 SP (or at least used to). these disapear next time you buys skills as you already have the components.
