Almost spot on already Raynes :)

Did a lot of mesenger missions last night in Zorai and now have all but the big bubble on the cities of intuituon :)

it was fairly logical i just did missions to each city and one out of the three i took gave an entry.

been playing a month and i can get the encyclopedia by hitting e (ive never remaped that key)

It seems that only the very serious crafters will be to complete these rites...
I expect the Encyclopedia will be somewhat like the skill system. Characters are not required to accomplish every branch of every skill - just the skills that are meaningful to the character. Thus, the Encyclopedia will not require people to make a Zorai q80 Mace unless the reward is useful to someone who makes moderate level Zorai maces and not the majority of other characters. To answer your concern - I expect no entries in response to those tasks, or else it will be something only useful to very serious and not-quite-sane crafters.

I've found it most convenient to set a prospecting action with a wide arc, long range, lots of nodes, knowledge, and quality limited for the area I'm in - then go looking at the telltale marks on the ground. It isn't too hard to find a cluster of quest mats to catalogue. It is even more convenient when I've talked to the NPCs first so I know what they are looking for.

BTW, I've been ingame since week 3 and I need only press the E key.

I think that there is a prospecting specialization skill that is called Plants...or something like that...since NO plant is EVER a material...that is what I *think* that that spec. is for. IF you have that skill, and are willing to add it to a tracking action...would you please tell us if that helped...

Thanks.

The difference between regular mats and mission mats is that from what I have found, mission mats appear in one place only. So covering an area as large Majestic Garden in search of the one place that that mission mats appears will be a very time consuming process. Granted my level 200 skills will help, it is still a task that will take alot of my time. Then I get to rinse and repeat that for the next zone and the next, etc etc.

Also the mat in quest may not even pop up the first or second time you prospect in a given area. There is a spot outside of Davae that has 4 mission mats within a small area. It has taken me up to 6 prospects in that one location for the mission mat I was searching for to appear.
