Very true, I have had people give me quite a few items along the way, but each time they have been an upgrade form what I already had. In turn all they asked was that I pass it along to others. Which I have done. This type of community is one of the reason's I purchased this game after the Beta period. That and I really enjoy the skills progression system.

not RL dollars of course but gold, platinum, credits whatever the game currency was to take a shortcut from earning their toon some cash themselves.

I always loved answering people who asked me for stuff in AO with reet quotes from the newbie backyard
