Maybe you need to wait till game, if ever, is more fully developed. Me, I dont always like what patches do, but am not about to get SO STRESSED ABOUT IT.............

one thing that is true for me is regardless of any one person's position on a patch, i have found that i can continue to play and have fun.

The only thing that stresses me out in the least is all the people YELLING that WE ARE GETTING SCREWED or I DONT THINK THIS IS FAIR I AM LEAVING.

This is the only thing that alarms me, cause i dont want people to leave, I want em to stay, this is a fun game and if a patch upsets your wagon, well, if I can i will help you, but more then likely you are higher lvl then me....

Anyway, i hate to see you so stressed, maybe forum helps you vent, i hope so.............but my best suggestion would be, and this is if you want to stick around and play, to TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!! and you know better then me what would be different for you. Cause i will tell you change is always constant, till the day you die and well then most times your corpse rots in the grave................

-=clap clap clap=- well put wraps my feeling up in a nutshell though I like to harrass the people who complain. I love Ryzom,I love the Devs,I love my Packers even the shifty eye'd one,and ill continue to play and encourage the devs to make the game more difficult! :D

I can't believe this.... I've spent most of my posts defending previous patches from the out-cry. But today, I actually logged out of the game because it's so gimped! I could excuse being given an instant death penatly for logging and in and being surrounded by aggro.

BUT, I can't forgive anymore UNDOCUMENTED PATCH CHANGES!!! I hope it's just me in my state of hysteria that's seeing this foraging problem but maybe others can chime in on this. Yesterday, I was able to run a Harm Speed 3, Harm Rate 3, Gentle Quality 120 extraction stanza and actually get a 4-5 mats of that quality. Today, I can't run a 3 3 Q100 MATERIAL SPECIALIZED stanza and get a single mat over q93, 94, 87 or death explosion. Anyone else seen a reduction in extraction rates again with this patch?

well that's the risk you run when you use harmful rates, why not use all gentle?

so they fixed harvesting, deal with it. it's really a matter of using your brain instead of being stupid and whining about it. if you haven't spent the sp on gentle, that's your problem

The fact is harmful should not have a 100% failure rate and that is what is happening now.

Thanks thanakar, I thought I was going insane :)

Anyways, I'm fine with switching to all Gentle; I would have just prefered to be TOLD about it instead of having to find out on my own. I guess me making a constructive rant ( oxy moron .. hehe ? ) is stupid, right thexdane?

There aren't enough skill points to get all gentle AND all harmful and extract at your level; this doesn't even begin to include specializations and care plans. Oh well... more adjustments. Just seems rather unfair that we have to work three to four times as hard to forage and level the same amount as people did earlier in the life of this game.

I'M SO HAPPY IT'S FIXED!! Please, fix more stuff... there's still a few things that are too easy and even enjoyable in the game!

iv had my worst harvesting day ever, i dident get a single mat for 4 hours that where q70, 68 was the highest and i got like every single quality available ranging from 20-68, iv dident get more than 2-3mats a pull and alot of explosions and life went down all the time...

iv talked to a gm who said there wasent any other harvesting changes than the ones noticed in patch notes... i for one arent as sure...

I'd say, the rate it was before? Though there's still no definate proof it's been changed, because this stuff is so hard for us to test ourselves. I would think with a partial gentle and partial harmful extraction plan that... say 1 out of 5 actions should succeed in getting the correct quality; doesn't seem all that outrageous?!

Overall... it's not the changes they are making that's annoying. It's that they are making them now, LATE in the game. Lots of people got a free ride ( as it were comparitavely ) and the rest of us who aren't there yet level wise now, get the shaft :)

I harvested a bit this morning and had no trouble with getting the Quality I was supposed to get. The bars seemed a bit more active than normal perhaps. I may also have gotten a tad less mats, but that is really hard to judge. Any tweaks made, were pretty small.

I did notice that mobs were changed, or at least their cons. Robust Mekotoubs that used to be 1 star mobs are now 2 star as were scary gingo. Mobs certainly shifted after the patch. Mobs do migrate over time, so it's hard to say how the mobs will look with more time. This might be something to keep track of. I did find it a bit annoying in the roots, but there seemed to be less patrols running over where I was too.

I'm sorry Cerest to prove you wrong, but I just did a quick round in the Elusive Forest. All the ways are blocked by aggro mobs that weren't there before. Even better, the Kami teleport is overrun by cutes. Ok, they are not aggro the moment you port in but the port is at the end of a one way canyon. Now, when I tried to get out a horde of cutes aggroed even before I saw the end of it. This results is the same as them aggroing me right at the port.

A friend of mine once said that this game will go under due to some big programming messup and slowly I am thinking I will have to agree.
