If you have played Ultima Online and/or Gothic 2, you know what to expect in SoR. I get that feeling of freedom to develop how I want, and there are landscapes in the game where you just stand there and look at them, then the sun goes down and it's even more nice to look at.
Of course Stellus' comments nail it, and I would like to gush some more about the edge of the world

I must say, the Ambience at the edge of the Island is just awesome. Very relaxing, and at times surreal and scary.
To me, it's nice when that kind of attention is given to an area you probably can't even get to. It sounds otherworldly enough that I don't WANT to go there. Not till I'm lvl 200 or something!

Satchi: By any chance, do you know what beast making those huge stomping sounds? I hope it cons passive

Err, it's official, I am enchanted by the sounds at the edge of the Island, because now I only hunt nearby, so I can hear the sounds. It's neat because the sounds are louder in some places than others.
Ok I will not talk about the sounds anymore, promise
