However, it does occure to me that the highly efficient leaders of the first competition event seemed stimied in the this one. The Karavan allies who are now bragging about victory (of which I am one) were in no fewer numbers the first time.

It is unreasonable to assume the Kami allies got less powerful or less inteligent, though they may have just had a bad day. It is also unreasonable to assume the Karavan allies somehow became so much more powerful in a few short days, but they surely did gain experience since the last event.

Given this, we should consider the possibility that these events are staged. Perhaps there was no reasonable way the Karavan could have won the first time, nor the Kami the second. I am not saying this is the only option, just pointing out it is a possibility.

Either way, I have enjoyed all 3 events, I look forward to the next and hope everyone can enjoy them as well, win or lose.

While the truth is, CP led (so far as I know) the first Kami victory, and very few Zorai even showed up to this second one - comparitively speaking of course. Pandorae and a chunk of CP arrived - I believe - 15 minutes before the Karavan won.

Now, I'm not going to disagree. I think the events may be staged - so as to keep an even match and to keep the storyline closer to where they want it - but the Kami side was wrought with leaders that couldn't lead (we had one good leader who unfortunately had to leave.

I imagine whatever side has the highest "score" is the one that will have to work the hardest. :D

I wish I had taken a couple of screenshots of the karavan conversations going on in Region.

gfunk : we got wiped ok everyone respawn back at camp
gfunk : everyone listen to me only
some member of his guild : listen to gfunk

so no the karavan side wasn't very organised at all, most of the time the "leadership" got everyone making headway wiped. yes i'm quite aware that i said they were 2 different things.

the was no leadership, most followed whomever was in the lead, and yes mostly the lead group was trying to scout out things.

the "leaders" did not find the leader of the kitin, it was the "rogue" guild that happened to be scouting out the land. i'm not going to say who said guild was but they know who they are

This event did seem stacked toward the Karavan. I bet they'll win on all servers.

We weren't very well-organized, but that wasn't GFunk's fault. At the beginning he took a poll of whether he should be the leader, he didn't try to wedge his way in. Most of his instructions were simple, but we were having trouble following even those simple instructions.

We died at least twice because people refused to follow GFunk's orders, and that was our biggest problem. It was also GFunk's planning that led to the defeat of the boss.

And if you remember, we won. If we're going to bicker and place blame, can we at least do it when we're unsuccessful?

i know that the karavan won but it was NOT because of him OR his leadership, i never voted for him as leader. i saw what his leadership got us the last time, killed, we followed Zzei and lived a lot longer

funny how gfunk had no clue where the boss was and yet west of the direction he was leading us, it was the "rogue" group that went off on their own that found the boss before the karavan said to find the boss.

so i'm not bickering i'm just giving credit where credit is due and it's not due to gfunk.

that said large mob got us killed several times when we were trying to scout around and use stealth, unlike the bull in china shop stealth the main group was using. i might add that stealth and scouting missions are good ideas for any good leaders, helps you develop a plan instead of charging in with a full head of steam like gfunk had us do, yup great leader with no plan attack cept "follow me" and "come to me" region chat messages

Plenty of people saw the boss, Shiraza was going to lead us to it. Then "rogue group" decided to head off on its own so we died before ever touching the boss. The second time we used GFunk's plan and almost beat it. The third time we again used GFunk's plan and that time we won.

When we wiped it was usually because certain people thought they could handle things and ignore GFunk, spread the group out, and drew needless aggro. Just because someone is uber-high level doesn't mean they can do whatever they like in a group. Nobody will ever agree with a leader 100% of the time, but in order for a team to work everyone has to put their disagreements aside. There were definitely some people disrupting the team, but GFunk wasn't one of them.

we were following his plan? cause i certainly wasn't

yeah and the ppl who FOUND the boss in the first place was not gfunk, why do you think there was a group of ppl heading in a totally different direction than him?

if you want to think he's a good leader go for it, but having no plan sides "stick to me" then yeah he's great

Wow! *laugh* I mean, if you take away the fact that the leader was communicating with the rest of the group AT ALL then you have the Kami side as well :D

I followed the main group most of the time, and all I can say is that it was very obvious that most of the time, the slackers in the rear or the small groups staying off to the side were the ones getting aggroed. As for any one group knowing where to go, that's hard to believe. When we were all massed against the rockface, after having gone down in that little water hole, I was hearing some people say the boss was west of Destiny's End, others saying it was east. No one was leading at that point, and it was obvious no one really knew where to go, either. If someone did know, they weren't letting anyone else know, and that in itself is not good leadership. Then people started to pay attention to Shiraza who had been saying for some time that she saw the boss. Why did they finally listen to her then? Because at that point no one was leading at all and everyone was obviously worried we'd all get wiped if we stood around any longer. At least that's the way I saw it.

Was with the Kami from beginning to end...what was intersting was in spite of reports of the boos being to the west, we always went east up the coast...I am sure I missed something there, Boss west...Kami East.

Secondly, We suffered as well from people doing their own thing and arguments over orders and discussions as to who was leading , who to follow.
<shrug> just like any other game I've played so far, the players think it's subjets to discussion over every move. Just be that way. Still, there were some nice failures in communication that tended to lead to the wipes. And I don't for the least moment think Karavan was any less disorganised, sooner or later one side or the other was bound to stumble into the boss and finish this thing.

I do recall thinking "lots of Zorai here" so I am not sure why someone would think they were light in attendance. It was a capture the flag race, and this time Karavan won, grats.
