Re: We are in!!!
Guys, lemme give you some advice.
Don't leave the newbie zones until you get at least level 30 in either magic or fighting. It is extremely slow leveling on the mainland if you have a character still in their 20s and with poor (store bought) equipment.
I'd also advise you to concentrate on harvesting and crafting a bit. Just to get an idea of what you're doing.
Again, hold off leaving to the mainland till the last possible moment. It will make the transition much easier and more rewarding.
Zeke.

Re: We are in!!!
Depends - if you can craft your own equipment you'll have no problems at all. Doesn't matter exp/time wise for me at lvl 22 to kill a roaming mektoub (mainland) or a weeny kipee (newbie zone).
Also, foragers will lvl faster on the mainland. The cities there have random raw material sources, too, but unlike in the newbie zone you are not limited to q20.
Suckling yubos, mektoubs are present in big amounts on the mainland, too.

Re: We are in!!!
indeed i left newbie zone too early at level 20
iam in Pyr alone, naked and broke, and having a hard time with the death penalty....
also xp is going much slower now
hopefully i just reached acid damage 3, combined with fear it s not working too bad but staying in the island a little more would probably have been better.

Greetings to those who have managed to get into the game, I thought I had better introduce myself to those who haven't met me yet.

Re: We are in!!!
Oeilsud, I will also say that right now, mages tend to be less powerful than fighters, and the damage you receive as a mage has been doubled in order to make it as hard as possible for you, especially when solo. It's no impossible, but it's tough, especially if you don't have a magic staff equivalent to your level. Magic staves really increase the damage you do and the reduce the amount of time it takes for you to cast spells.
Also: You may want to work on your fighter skills, and then upgrade your magic later. You should also be grouping as much as possible (if you can), so you can take advantage of the defensive line of spells and heal people. People may not be very group oriented at early levels, but they will be screaming for healers at later levels so you may want to consider this.
Zeke
Note: I understand that blind erases aggro but never had the chance to try it in beta. If it does work like that, then you should consider getting it in order to make your use of fear a little more useful and powerful.
