Sage of Ryzom Manual
Page 53, paragraph 2, second to the last sentence reads in more words or less, that charging a weapon's sap load and enchanting it, will result in the weapon using its OWN sap load for the spell... however this is not the case currently the game will still use YOUR sap AND the weapons SAP... making it reletivily pointless to waste time chargeing up enchants on a weapon...
Its my believe this is a bug, and was not intended to function this way.
Also... Enchanting a weapon with an Action that uses 0 sap, will still use the sap load on the weapon for X amount of charges... I think this part is intentional.

Bug with Enchanting
Re: Bug with Enchanting
hmm if it does drain your sap/hp as well as the amps (havnt had a chance to use one since beta) then it is indeed not how its ment to work.

Re: Bug with Enchanting
Bug or not, enchanting weapons is far from pointless. A weapon enchantment does not have any cast time penalties, cannot be interupted and never fails (enchanted spells can still be resisted by the target though). I always enchant all my weapons. Stun or blind for my melee weapons and fear for my magic amps (or stun/blind if doing team hunting). I then use the enchantments in emergency situations:typo911 wrote:Sage of Ryzom Manual

Did cast that fear in time so use the enchantment. Critter is killing me faster than I can hit it with this stick, use stun enchantment. No, enchantments don't work everytime (this is especially true of affliction spells as they are not boosted - no amp - and mob resist rates are still a bit too high) but then again, they may just be the thing you need to tip the battle to your favor.
Re: Bug with Enchanting
the fact of the matter, its not suppose to use your SAP... its suppose to use the weapon's sap load.
Re: Bug with Enchanting
patch 25 came out... not even a word about this bug...
