Your Feedback

Post by lawrence »

This thread is meant to provide a platform for all of your feedback on SoR, both positive and negative.

Is there something you would like to let us know? Do you have suggestions for Nevrax on how to improve the game? Do you have feedback on customer service?

Let us know and we'll make sure it gets passed on! :)

Thanks for your question :)

Yes we have some feedback at.
http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=910

The game is cool, the best what i ever seen. But it has some imperfection.
- Trading system (Vendor/Auction)
- Waypoint and navigation.
- Changing toons ingame (hair/body/etc.)
- Skill system. (i'm afraid of learning some skills, becouse i don't know what that will do, and there is no way to take off/back, and the info about the skill is .... hmm ... not too informative)

Those are not serious imperfections and i know the game is under development always, like any other MMOG, i hope you have a lot of good ideas.

Add content and RP stories ingame. :D I would like npc to talk more. Quests would be cool too but I guess they are already planned with the encyclopedia system (right ?)

I would love to be able to see the Level of other players. Every convo starts with "What LVL are you" :)

Im happy not seeing the mobs levels, but other players we shoudl be able to.

Also we need either a market, trade channel, ow something to make buying and selling easier

Also, this game need a bazaar or a vendor system to help crafters and avoid the spam on region channel.

- Vendor system

This should really have the highest priority. We NEED one.

- Harvest-Hunting mat balancing

Mobmats are a complete joke compared to harvested ones, there needs to be better than fine drops from regular mobs later on. Anyone who does not harvest is completely screwed if he wants good mats to construct items. The only possible way are named mobs, but those have next to no influence in the big picture (140+ mats for heavy armor out of named? rrright)
Harvesting should be more effecient than hunting, but it shouldn't make it redundant.

Oh, and in case some harvest fanboys now moan it's difficult to lvl harvest or to find better than choice mats: I had very little harvest exp in the beta (never went over lvl 30 there), got retail 7 days ago, am now lvl 100 in harvesting and construct my items since lvl ~65 out of supreme mats only....

- Mob balancing

There are some quite big steps in mob strength now and then. In Witherings a "baying ragus" (lvl 45) has around 800 HP, the "scary ragus" (lvl 55) in the next (lvl 50-100) zone has around 4000 HP.

- Toon editing

The face should stay as it is, but some hair stylist would indeed be nice. Perhaps even a Tatoo changer. People often notice that they actually dislike their current style only later in the game, when it gets impractical to make a new char.

Since the good news has been announced on player vendors, a couple of points (just ignore me if this is stupid or already in - I'm new 'round here):

1/ If it would be possible for player vendors to operate while we harvest, hunt, fight off invasions etc that would be a huge factor in game enjoyment & in some (most?) games you can't do this without multiple accounts. Might be difficult?

2/ A method of transferring goods and dapper between my different characters on my account a la EQ shared bank slots would be good - particularly if the vendors have to operate as separate characters. In fact a bank would be good - but maybe we could implement most bank functions (including a shared slot or two) through our pack animals? Just a thought.

And it is correct, because specialization Forager loses sense

Hmm whilst playing and talking to friends the chat box for a person to PM is great, saves typing /tell alot. But the problem is there seems to be no where to hie the box and gets in the way of the screen. Maybe it would be a good idea to make PMs open in the window where the other char is "Around, Region, System Info, User" Maybe when someone PM's you for example a tab opens in that section to the right of the user tab. If i Pm someone it opens a tab called "Goken".

Also, been able to combine stacks. This is very annoying after putting a stack of matrials in my packer and when i take it out i cant combine the stacks. So i end with with 3 different stacks of the same iems of 3,7,21 insted of 1 stack of 31 for example.
Only an idea of mine :)
